CAIRO (Reuters) - U.S. Senator John Kerry said on Friday he was willing to go to Tehran to talk to Iranian leaders but would not have time during his current Middle East tour.

"I don't have time and we were not able to make arrangements in the short timespan we had but I would be willing to go," he told reporters in Cairo, the first stop on his tour.

How do you "enter a dialog" with a guy who has said Covert or Die? Discuss conversion scheduling and the logistics of providing prayer rugs and coffins?

'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

Any American statesman in any capacity who undertakes official dialog with a government that attacked our embassy and held our citizens hostage and to this day has no official communications with this nation should be arrested for treason upon his return.

I am amazed constantly by the extent to which the liberals will grovel at the feet of documented enemies of our nation. These people are truly media clowns who are dangerous to the security of this nation and need to be dealt with.

The problem is that he would end up in Cambodia. Maybe that's not a problem?

Maybe we'll get lucky and some Iranian students will "detain" him for hundreds of days like they did at the embassy in '79.

''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

Isn't it interesting how Baker, Kerry, nelson, et al line up to try to talk with governments where we can't even safely maintain an embassy. Why do we want to recognize, much less talk to a nation where we can't even safely maintain a diplomatic presence.

Kerry is an idiot - the democrats learned nothing from Korea, Vietnam, etc. These jerks want to talk to gain time, gain concessions, and earn the favor of the press.

Bottom line, Kerry is a useful idiot to the enemy.

...he would convert to Islam to save his own skin.

One should worry about the Soul that the 'skin' has inside it!

"I don't care what party they are from .. this is wrong and they are playing political games with our lives"

Amen to that! Eventually, this outrageous ploy will backfire on all of them and I hope it destroys the career of every single one of them.

"...liberals will grovel at the feet of documented enemies of our nation..."

And the Nobel Committee gives known bombers and killers prizes, too.

I think if there is a chance that the liberals will get a pat on the head, they'll go for it, even if it is directly against their own, and our country's interests.

Loneley people desperately seelking approval, and dedicated communists hiding a deep agenda.

Sorry, wish I had Photoshop and knew how to use it. What a cast. I have often thought Keenan Wynn's character was one of the funniest names in movie history.

Peter Sellers.... Group Captain (G/C) Lionel Mandrake/President Merkin Muffley/Dr. Strangelove

George C. Scott .... Gen. 'Buck' Turgidson

Sterling Hayden .... Brig. Gen. Jack D. Ripper

Keenan Wynn .... Col. 'Bat' Guano

Slim Pickens .... Maj. T.J. 'King' Kong

Peter Bull .... Russian Ambassador Alexi de Sadesky

James Earl Jones .... Lt. Lothar Zogg

Tracy Reed .... Miss Scott

Jack Creley .... Mr. Staines

Frank Berry .... Lt. H.R. Dietrich

Robert O'Neil .... Adm. Randolph

Glenn Beck .... Lt. W.D. Kivel (as Glen Beck)

Roy Stephens .... Frank

Shane Rimmer .... Capt. G.A. 'Ace' Owens

Bush could have him arrested ... all he needs to do is use the Logan Act! This idiot Kerry has no authority to represent the USA in any way with a foreign government. I don't think Bush has the gumption to charge any of these globe trotting traders from the Senate or the House with the Logan Act.

But of course Kerry does not have the "time" to visit Iran anyway. Ooooops "time" should read "BALLS"! Much, much to dangerous for this wuss!

But seriously, a senator doing an end-around like this on the State Department and the Administration? I'd have him arrested when he came back, on something anyway.

It's called the Logan Act.
