A private laboratory hired by the prosecution in the Duke lacrosse case failed to report that it found DNA from multiple males in the accuser's body and underwear, according to a defense motion filed today. The lab, DNA Security of Burlington, found that the DNA did not match the three defendants, their lacrosse teammates or anyone else who submitted their DNA to police, including the accuser's boyfriend.
The new evidence emerged in thousands of documents handed over to the defense in October.

It took a lot of time for the defense's experts to go through that pile of DNA reports, and at least a week or two for the defense to draft their motion.
Doesn't give the judge a lot of time to read & consider the filings, so I'm guessing we'll see more discovery, then a hearing set for January.

Issuing reports favorable to a corrupt prosecutor's case in violation of your own company's internal policies and procedures? Tsk, tsk...
You had best come clean now before both you AND your company go down with Nifong's ship. You could find yourself in the unenviable position of being on the receiving end of lots and lots of DNA. Heck, one could even say that yours would actually BE the receiving end!

My suspicions went to "Red" when Nifong went to the lab to personally pick up the info. So did he tell Meehan: "Perfect, that's just what I wanted".
I just skimmed through the posts here, so sorry if this has been discussed, but did anyone mention Bill O'Reilly telling Geraldo that he wants Nifong in jail. And you know when Bill gets this worked up about something he doesn't let it go. Geraldo tried to stick up for Nifong but eventually admitted that if what is being reported is true, that he withheld the DNA evidence that yes, he deserves some punishment, can't remember exact words, but I think he even agreed possibly jail time. Go Bill....
I wasn't discussing that; I was pointing out that she had at least three OTHER men's DNA in her.

I'm sure the lawyers have the Civil Suits in the works as well as "disbar" papers. Believe it or not, most lawyers don't like "super dirty" lawyers. Even Bubba got disbarred.

And remember this, he is claiming that they are spinning/lying and ALL they had at that point were the State lab results and the FIRST DNA Security report -- which only talked about a FINGERNAIL.
I guess it turns out the State lab was right and Nifong went "lab" shopping!

Just think about the sort of investigation you'd have if you were a real rape victim in Durham... You might have better representation from the Keystone Cops.
This could explain Nifong's "Plea Bargain City" judicial shopping mall style. He screws up a lot.
Greta and her panel don't seem to think anything at all will happen to Nifong.
He's been very cagey; unless the DNA guy comes right out and says Nifong told him to withhold the information, he's probably in the clear.
I know prosecutors and defense attorneys tell their experts not to write anything down, but that IS exculpatory information and I believe it is required that he give that to the defense immediately.
While others may argue that, I will take it as a vote of confidence in my sanity. I avoid Durham like the plague.
