A private laboratory hired by the prosecution in the Duke lacrosse case failed to report that it found DNA from multiple males in the accuser's body and underwear, according to a defense motion filed today. The lab, DNA Security of Burlington, found that the DNA did not match the three defendants, their lacrosse teammates or anyone else who submitted their DNA to police, including the accuser's boyfriend.
The new evidence emerged in thousands of documents handed over to the defense in October.

"Please--it's not the baby's fault."
"Please" you say?
In reference to what?
Who's blaming the baby?
Regardless of your answers to any of the above questions, the fact remains that WE will ALL provide for the WELFARE of that child, just as we already do for her other two.
Your post is empirical evidence of the potential success of the the "sympathy" angle Nifong is purportedly ready to try.
Get real, Neverforget01.
There should be absolutely no doubt in the jurors' minds either that the accuser is a loose woman.
Dates won't work. If she had done something like that the DNA would have been all over the place. Let me rephrase that: the BOYS DNA would have been all over the place. But I don't think she's that smart.Disturbing thought though.
Not quite a moot point as Nifong will certainly be looking for jurors who know of this child and believe it is evidence she was raped. The paternity test is an attempt to short circuit this.
Fair to say that he _claimed_ it was a moot point - for now. I absolutely agree that the paternity test is necessary to ensure that the mathematically challenged juror knows for sure that it's not a lax baby. Even then, some could ignore all of that and assume the conception was proof of rape.
She's so loose she's hanging by a thread!
I certailnly agree that some potential jurors will still argue that the child shows she was raped, but the defense has to shore up every angle they can.
What a hoot about the AP reporter.
What more evidence do you need that Free Republic is light-years ahead of the Lame Stream Media! What a bunch of clowns!
Suing is neither left nor right. Suing to get what you can't get legislatively is leftist.
Crystal is as loose as Granny's grey goose!
Oh, Miss "Have these boys in jail by sundown or I'm calling the government to report a civil rights violation?"
I should have known!
No, Mangum was given a pregnancy test, which was negative, and a "morning after" pill at Duke Medical that night, according to a defense attorney statement to WRAL.
Pregnancy is 270 days, not nine months. That puts conception about a week after the party, and possibly even later because babies tend to come a little early after the first child is born, and Mangum already has two.
They changed that page to be a diff article, maggief. :>( Can't find the Change of Venue article of pdf anywhere...
We don't know for sure that she actually took the pill, do we? The lawyer said she was given the pill, but does that mean it was handed to her to do with as she pleased, as in not take it or just pocket it, or did someone actually see her take it?
I don't ask this because there's any possibility that any of the boys are the father, if in fact there is a baby, but rather out of concern as to what Nifong can make of it.
The day after pill is NOT abortive. It is preventive. And since she REALLY didn't get raped, did she in fact take the pill because of all the other DNA she was hiding and her boyfriend would kill her AND it would be cheaper than an abortion?? She was just being very clever....NOT!!
Halledamnleujah and hooray for you! :>
So does anyone know if performing a pregnancy test on a potential rape victim is a common procedure? I have no idea, but if others know, I would be interested in hearing about it.
Her "handlers" as Jakki refers to them, with Liefong at the helm, apparently. Jakki was calling Liefong to get access to her cousin, or so she says. Liefong met with the NBPP. I wonder if they're involved. Doesn't seem probable, but anything is possible. I can only think she's been at some private facility with secrecy as a trademark. Who's paying?
The birth certificate should become a public record. The question is, when will it be available? Will Nifong try to get a court order keeping it secret/sealed so the suspicion over the boys continues?
If Mangum puts "unknown" as the father on the birth certificate, and Nifong never comes out and states one of the boys is the father, can the defense compel genetic testing? I seriously doubt it. There's the rub.
