A private laboratory hired by the prosecution in the Duke lacrosse case failed to report that it found DNA from multiple males in the accuser's body and underwear, according to a defense motion filed today. The lab, DNA Security of Burlington, found that the DNA did not match the three defendants, their lacrosse teammates or anyone else who submitted their DNA to police, including the accuser's boyfriend.
The new evidence emerged in thousands of documents handed over to the defense in October.

Howlin--I'm not sure it's a negative opinion of NC. I think it's pretty focused on Duke an Durham. I wonder if someone could get the early application info on UNC.
My CourtTV is "Paid Programming" right now (6:40 PST) - will someone watching please post a recap?? Thanks!
I think I'm missing a thread... "the other one"?
Sorry Dukie---they're covering a debutante murder trial in Savannah right now--I'll keep you updated.
Thanks. I'm gonna get ready for work, but will be back soon!
They have left Durham right now and are reporting on the Debutane Murder case; they are on standby in Durham.
They did have Freda Black on earlier--she basically said it was up to the judge's discretion as to how much of the accuser's sexual history can be admitted. There are nuances to the rape shield law which could allow the judge to let the info in.
I fear you are wrong. But I hope you're right.
I know one thing: even my stepdaughters tell me that they mind their own business and obey all the laws while they drive through Durham County.
And none of us stop or shop there anymore, which kills me because that's where Nordstrom's is!
FNC...will be going live to the courthouse.
Ok, I was out of town yesterday and I hear that the stripper has delivered a baby!!?!! Wow.
First, may the graces of God surround her children. Those poor children will need prayers and I ask all Freepers to pray for them.
Secondly, what time is this hearing today?
I have a senior in HS and today is the day when all the early acceptances come out (some acceptances were posted online last night) for the "elite" schools. I have not heard any of the kids say anything disparaging about any school but Duke.
Incrediably, there is a female attorney on FNC arguing that Nifong's line-up was okay.
Was she a ditz or what?
Well, she WAS blond. lol
Duke Lacrosse Attorneys Seek Change of Venue

Durham Defense attorneys in the Duke University lacrosse rape case on Friday asked a judge to move the trial out of Durham.
Attorneys for lacrosse players Reade Seligmann, 20, Collin Finnerty, 20, and David Evans, 23, said Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong has polarized the local community with comments he made during the initial stages of the investigation.
A North Carolina Central University student told police she was beaten and raped by three lacrosse players while performing as a stripper at a March 13 team party. Seligmann, Finnerty and Evans were later indicted on kidnapping and rape charges, but they have denied any wrongdoing.
Before any arrests were made, Nifong publicly stated that a crime had been committed.
The change of venue motion was delivered before a packed courtroom that included the three players and their families, lacrosse coach John Danowski and scores of Duke students.
The motion is the latest development in the high-profile case. On Thursday, defense attorneys asked that the judge throw out the photographic lineup in which the accuser identified the defendants.
The motion said the identifications of the Duke players resulted from a "tainted procedure" and were unreliable.
Nifong directed that the identification procedure use only photos of the white members of the team who were at the party and arrange the photos in a PowerPoint presentation for the woman to view.

We heard about the child so soon after delivery, I seriously doubt there's any way her getting married would have escaped reporting for any length of time. Would, for the child's sake, hope to be proven wrong.
It would be quite curious to know what happened to the pool of white male early applicants. Of course if Duke is on th way to being an all female school, some would be happy with that.
Any media cameras in there? CTV decided to cover the case in a jury watch.....more face time for the spawn of Gloria Allred. ugh
