A private laboratory hired by the prosecution in the Duke lacrosse case failed to report that it found DNA from multiple males in the accuser's body and underwear, according to a defense motion filed today. The lab, DNA Security of Burlington, found that the DNA did not match the three defendants, their lacrosse teammates or anyone else who submitted their DNA to police, including the accuser's boyfriend.
The new evidence emerged in thousands of documents handed over to the defense in October.

The baby could be Nifong's last chance - though he must have failed Biology 1 if he looked at the DNA results and still believed that somehow he had a chance at winning this case if the baby was part Caucasian - though definitively unrelated to the LAX players.
As time goes on, I am adjusting my view of Nifong from being a Sociopath to being a dumb Sociopath. However, I am not sure which is more dangerous.

I realize that the child is born, but does Nifong already know what the DNA shows as to who the father is, or is he just now being able to process that. AND if the child's father is an LAX player should the trial go on? This whole thing stinks no matter what.
(before I am flamed, I believe the young men to be innocent and do not expect this to show any of them as guilty of anything)
I continue to be sickened by this case. This "woman" put the HO in HOotchie mama. I haven't been reading the thread, but is the public ready to run the DA out on a rail yet? I know the race card was being played very heavily when this happened, how is the black community handling this news?

They showed some of the students at NCCU last night; "denial" came to mind.
And people are aghast, but that's all........just sort of standing around talking about it. Outraged, yes. Movement, no.
Just think of what this woman has done to the chances of any woman who really IS raped. I'd say she's set them back 20 years.
Duke Lacrosse Accuser Gives Birth

Chapel Hill — WRAL's Julia Lewis has confirmed that the accuser in the Duke lacrosse case gave birth late Thursday at UNC Hospitals.
Her pregnancy had not been public knowledge until now.
When WRAL called her boyfriend's home Thursday evening, the person who answered the phone had no comment and then hung up.
The 27-year-old gave birth nine months after she alleges she was raped by three Duke University lacrosse players at a March 13 team party.
After the party, she was taken to a local hospital to be examined.
A defense attorney tells WRAL that a test taken at the hospital showed that she was not pregnant at the time of the party and that she was given emergency contraception commonly referred to as the morning-after pill.
The suspects in the case -- David Evans, 23, Collin Finnerty, 20, and Reade Seligmann, 20 -- have denied the allegations.
This week, attorneys in the case filed a motion in which they said male DNA from multiple sources was found on the accuser, but none from their clients. In another motion, they ask that the judge presiding over the case throw out the photographic lineup in which she identified the defendants, saying the IDs were the result of a "tainted procedure."
At the time of the alleged incident, the woman, a divorced mother of two, had worked for an escort service to help support her children and to pay for classes at North Carolina Central University.

Does the HS proof anything or are they trying to make CGM more credible by getting the accused mixed up?
One of the first things they probably asked Crystal at the hospital was when she last menstrated together with when did you last have sex prior to the rape.
Did she cry rape because she thought they would settle "out of court" and this would be over quickly? OR, did she think the day after pill was "abortive" rather than preventive?
What does she have on Nifong???or someone that makes Nifong tapdance.

Notice how they blame that on Lacrosse families, when, in fact, it's more than likely people be stunned at the lack of defense by the school of the children the parents sent to Duke.
And I'm fully aware that NC's image has taken QUITE a hit because of this. We are GUILTY.
I cannot begin to fathom what is going on in her mind; I guess we should all thank God (and our parents) that we are incapable of grasping "where she's coming from."

With early admission applications to Duke being DOWN 25%, there is no way that all of those not applying are from the eastern seaboard.
