A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

"Okay, you know that you're plain - and you're cool with that. You prefer not to let anything distract from your sweetness. Your appeal is understated yet universal. Everyone dig you. And in a pinch, you'll probably get eaten."

I have never seen other transparent animations..Thanks ..I'll do a search and see what I can do! Meg, I mean little animations with a transparent background that you can place on a picture background in a strategic spot. The only way *I* can successfully place something in the exact right spot is by using < br>'s and the letter symbols for a line space & nbsp; (no space between the "&" and the "nbsp;") and keep previewing it to see how much more I need to finesse the position.
Below is just one example of an animated gif placed on a jpeg graphic used as a background.
This one, however, didn't need the & nbsp; space thingies - notice I got it where I wanted with just the "align=right" command in the butterfly gif.

Correction on my last post to you - the & nbsp; (remember, no space after the "&", and it has to all be in lowercase) isn't a LINE SPACE - it is a "character" space. It takes a whole bunch of them together to move something over even a little!
