Kofi Annan to Blast US in Farewell Speech on US Soil
CNS News ^ | December 11, 2006

(CNSNews.com) - It may not rival Hugo Chavez' vitriol at the United Nations, but Kofi Annan's "farewell speech" in Missouri on Monday is expected to be a parting shot at President Bush, USA Today reported. Annan "will accuse the administration of trying to secure the United States from terrorism in part by dominating other nations through force, committing what he termed human rights abuses and taking military action without broad international support," the report said

I was trying to ignore the little twerp, because we're still suffering from a backwash of pre-election trolls, but....great rant. BUMP! ;-)

Kofi was arguably the absolute worst UN Secretary General in the sordid history of the UN. He was in a unique position to prevent the Rawanda bloodbaths and the Darfur genocide, but he preferred to sit back and berate those who wanted to make the world a better place. His vacillation, and weakness, has left a bloody trail of murder and genocide. Some legacy.

So this sleazeball, who has presided over a period in the UN's history that is without precedent for scandal and mismanagement, has the gall to criticize this country in a speech on his "farewell tour"? Geez, what rocks do they have to overturn to find slugs like this?

The thieving bastard should be in prison, but instead he's going to be slamming the USA....in MISSOURI??

But then, Willie "Cold Cash" Jefferson is still milking the government teat - so why should I be surprised?

As Jimmy Carter demonstrated, public condemnation of President Bush is a sure way to increase ones chances for a Nobel Peace Prize.

"taking military action without broad international support"

Kofi says "broad" but he means unanimous. We had broader support for the second action in the Gulf to remove Saddam than we did in the first. By Kofi's standard Saddam would still be sitting in Kuwait, and probably Saudi Arabia by now. In any case, the world would not be a better place for anybody.

That map is 2003. Today's map would have so much writing on it you couldn't even read it.

Didn't he take time to list his own flaws and those of his little club?

"Stanley Meisler, a historian of the United Nations and author of a new biography of Annan."

Wow, there's a life wasted.

I would love to see John Bolton write a tell all book on the Useless UN.I would be the first in line to purchase it.Even the thought of him doing so would make many people squirm!I believe he has way too much class to do that, but it would be interesting nonetheless.Hopefully,he may do the lecture circuit. One could only hope.

Well, maybe someone will think to write a biography instead. And as for the lecture circuit -- if he came to my town, I'd be the first one in line for tickets.

Thing that disturbs me is that according to the article, the President was among those who signed off on the expenditure. I sure wouldn't if I were him.
