Someone said this morning on radio that Jimmy will probably go to Venezuela and certify Chavez's election. Always struck me as funny -- Carter declaring a dictator's election as fair and regular. He just loves malevolent despots. Now I guess I know why -- apparently, he wasn't above dirty deals himself.

It makes me sick just to look at him, much less "think" about him!

During the campaign, Carter also criticized Sanders for his support of then-President Lyndon B. Johnson. "I did support LBJ," Sanders said, "because he had given Lockheed one of the largest orders ever for C-5 airplanes and a lot of money for rural development in Georgia, and I wasn't going to turn my back on him after what he had done for the people of Georgia."

Yeah, quid pro quo, ya know...socking it to the rest of America to support Georgia. What's wrong with just plain giving the order to the best bidder and not using the taxpayer's money to buy goodwill? What's the need to thank LBJ for "doing something" for the people of Georgia, if the decision were simply fair?

Sounds like there was sleaze on both sides of the fence... :-(

The Cuban boat people sank his re-election bid....

Along with a very massive number of other reasons.

Drudge has a link to Youtube of some caller to C-span calling Carter a bigot, racist, and a few other choice names. naturally, the C-span cow hung up on the caller.

Carter is a pathetic old man. No doubt he is intensely bitter about having lost to Reagan.

Funny to watch the video. Seems like the MSM doesn't like people who tell it like it is. I think that is the problem of this country, people who tells it like it is are silenced, told to shut up and told that is not P.C.

Buchanan was worst. He allowed his Secretary of War to ship Federal artillery to the south, where it could be used against the national government. The civil war was his creation.

FDR was second worst, for his inaction when Germany could have been stopped by very small forces, and his massive increase of government programs, which lengthened the depression, weakening the US when we needed to be strong. His agriculture programs, limiting US crop planting and food reserves, led to starvation of millions after WWII was over.

Wilson also is right up there, for is refusal to support the democratic nations, or to build up US defenses despite a world at war.

I would put Truman as 4th worst, for permitting Soviet opression in Eastern Europe, and publicly putting Korea outside the zone of interest, then being surprised when the communists accepted his offer.

Carter as 5th worse.

So Carter campaigned as an anti-black redneck, eh? There's an awful lot of African-Americans that don't know that.

"I think that is the problem of this country, people who tells it like it is are silenced, told to shut up and told that is not P.C."

So much for the defenders of the First Amendment! The US is going down that slippery slope faster and faster -- sounds more like the old Soviet Union and the KGB than freedom loving America.

The C-Span Cow.

I bet had it been the reversal, a Democrat rage against a Republican, the C-Span Cow would have let them rant forever.

I have witnessed them doing this very act on C-Span, at tax payers expense.

Jimmy Carter had a lot of experience with the race card. Before he retired as a submarine skipper, he was a senior officer. A sub skipper requires that the officer be at least Lt. Commander, but most likely a full commander.

the navy, during his tenure had gone through a complete renovation as it hugged affirmative action. Not knowing what events occurred on any of his (Carter's) commands, it can only be assumed he saw issues involving negative race related issues.

As a senior administrator in the sub fleet, Carter was well versed in how to deal with military justice - both NJP, and Art. 15's for Courts Martial. I believe there are a number of page 13's with his stamp on them saying he visited the issue at Captain's Mast more than once.

This guy is a snake - a liberal by any other name. he sold the N. Koreans nuclear capability under the Clinton administration. As President, Carter subjugated the military into giving up military control of "special weapons" to unqualified civilian control - his belief (as a liberal) that the world would be safer if the military did not have control of said items.

Carter would sell out his country to save his own skin, and he most likely has "Bubba's" fingerprints on his ears - go figure if you don't know what I mean.
