On one hand, a lot of non-African descended people would want to have had the choice of making a rap. On the other, it is a bit insulting. Racism is one of those things that can be difficult to empathize with until it happens to you. And even then, you might not empathize with people in other people groups (races).

This sucks.

The cop should have just given them the ticket and made them suffer paying the fine instead of trying to cut them a break. Shame on him for being a nice guy.

Most likely the cop thought he was being culturally sensitive by asking them to do a rap jingle on littering. What if he'd asked for a country style ditty, or for an Italian aria about littering? Then the blacks would be whining that the cop should have offered the boys the opportunity to do a rap song instead because of their age group and race.

Nothing satisfies them, they will find racial insult 100% of the time, and they will dine out on the latest indignation until a better one comes along.

But that's okay. The next ones WILL get the ticket, and then blacks can snivel about being picked out because they're black even though "whites litter, too, but they don't get the tickets." Then the race hustlers like this same NAACP will want to do a study on what percentage of littering tickets are issued to blacks as opposed to whites.

The dumbass police department should not have apologized. They should have pointed out it was a minor, light-hearted attempt to make a point about littering to young people, most of whom listen to rap no matter what race they are. No insult was intended, nor was any taken by the boys who laughed about it.
