Now come the lawsuits against Rand-McNally, the website providing another map, the woman who warned them off that road, etc. :-( That is TOTALLY unwarranted, and you should be ashamed.
The family issued a statement saying the Kims had NOT been given erroneous information...and that they simply missed a turnoff.
Read the links before you post such drivel!

Read the links before you post such drivel! I've read the links, and I know that. Now you should read history and realize that even in such cases, lawsuits can result.

Where in the Sierra's do you live?
We used to own a cabin near Chimney Rock, just outside of Wilsonia, near King's Canyon and Sequoia National Parks, and I spent years working at a camp near Stony Creek Lodge in the summers.
I loved hiking and camping in that area.

I live in Twain Harte. It's on Sonora pass. Elevation 3,800 feet. Perfect four seasons. We're north of Yosemite, and east of Modesto.
