WASHINGTON: Enough with The Joke, John Kerry says.
The Massachusetts senator and former Democratic presidential nominee said Wednesday night that it is time to move on from his botched attempt at humor before the Nov. 7 congressional elections.
Kerry had said people might get "stuck in Iraq" if they do not study hard and do their homework. He said he was trying to poke fun at President George W. Bush, but Bush and others accused him of criticizing the troops.
"This is getting silly," Kerry said on CNN's "Larry King Live." "The country needs to think about a policy that has young men and women at risk on a daily basis that is not working."

What the US Army recruiting poster under "President" Kerry would look like:
Our brave warriors n Irak respond to Jon Carry"
Kerry is no different re his hatred of a strong America and our warriors than 99.9% of the rats in congress. Every rat running for election should have to face a copy of this banner everytime they show their treasonous faces. Pelosi, Murtha, Clintoon, Boxer, Kennedy, Durbin, Levin, Rangle, Reid and other rats in congress hate our military and a strong America. Just look at their voting records the past two years as President Bush pointed out this week.
Kerry is shown leading his fellow hate America and our military Rats to their final destination in American Politics:
(John Kerry picked the wrong people to insult.)
I can't help but feel the real shame is on us, the American voters. We continue to let our troops, our heritage and our nation down by sending the dreggs of our society to represent us at the highest levels and portray our image and soul around the globe.
My GOD- how low have we slipped when we elect murderers, admitted war criminals and traitors to the highest body in our government?
Kerry in one of his many acts of treason after his very short Nam tour.
Vote against all traitors this election day. Support our troops and their CIC, President Bush.
Talk to Rangel about that Johnny.
Sorry, but I had to stop reading right there.
I almost feel sorry for Carry. Well...maybe not.
This guys a tratior from back in the vietnam days up until current times. This man throw his decorations (or someone else's) toward the white house and he expects us to forgive him for such a moral busting comment.
He should be sent to the frontlines as a public relations officer in the Sunni Triange and re-do his dispicable service.
That's what narcissists do. He's an arrogant moron, by choice.
Maybe if this works OJ can try it.
Move on, Hell, you nancy-boy pr^*k. Here we are at day 671 since you promised to sign your 180, and we ain't gonna move on from THAT either.
Interesting comment. Have you ever watched the Senate on CSpan and look for Kerry? Even the Democrats won't talk to him. He wonders around like a lost puppy on the Senate floor...............when he shows up. I agree with him though, we do need to "move on"..........when he moves out of the Senate for good.
Move on? I don't think so, hoser. We have yet to get the full measure of enjoyment from your stupid statement.
We'll keep in touch and tell you when we intend to move on.
Have a nice day,
TTTC
What botched joke?
We'd be happy to move on if it WAS a "botched joke". But we know, as Kerry knows, that this was not the case at all. Moreover, his statement fully revealed what all Liberals can never afford to have made public, namely his true beliefs.
Kerry needs to move on after the 2004 election.
it' time for john kerry to get a private life and leave the rest of us alone.
it' time for john kerry to get a private life and leave the rest of us alone.
He did sign it in May of 2005. But that does nto mean he has to release ANY of the information to the public! He controls his records and can do with them as he likes.
Grampa Dave, thank you for your fine statement:
"I can't help but feel the real shame is on us, the American voters. We continue to let our troops, our heritage and our nation down by sending the dreggs of our society to represent us at the highest levels"
I would like to add
"and we send our finest citizens in harm's way to protect them"
