Something exploded in the distance, I can see fire in smoke.

What's north of Salem? Anything much?
Well, there is one Seabrook nuclear power plant, but it is WAY too far for the fire there to be noticed from Salem, something like 30 miles away.

I saw it too--I was coming home from my post office job
about 2:45 am --was on Rt 128 north just between Rt 114
and Endicott St. Saw the flames and heard an explosion
that sounded like a huge firecracker.
I kept going on Rt 128 until I got to Rt 62 and then got home
here in Beverly. (Could see some flames in distance
nr. Danversport Yacht Club) I did go near the Beverly-Salem bridge but saw nothing--some police cars were "getting active". Not
one of the gas tanks?
