The rumors that chief White House political architect Karl Rove will leave sometime next year are being bolstered with new insider reports that his partisan style is a hurdle to President Bush's new push for bipartisanship. A key Bush advisor tells the US News Political Bulletin, "Karl represents the old style and he's got to go if the Democrats are going to believe Bush's talk of getting along." The advisor said a departure might come in "weeks, not months." A Rove ally, however, noted that he has a record of out-witting his critics.
A true conservative knows that the US government is based on compromise. Always has been.
You never get everything you want. Because of greedy conservatives, we get nothing at all for two years, maybe longer. We actually lose the chance for a conservative SC, our tax cuts, our border security, and our honor.
Are You F***ing Kidding me?!!
Sadly, I agree.
Who will carry the amnesty flag with him gone?
No argument from me on that. The Bush's have a long Rockefeller GOP legacy. But when a man running as a Republican can stand before the nation and say that he and the most Liberal man in the DEM Party are not that far apart on most issues, there is very little left to support IMO.
HE/Rove blew the election??? NO, the individual congressmen/women blew the elections, by not listening to us, and then the voters blew the election. If congress would have listened to us about immigration--and acted accordingly, they would still be in power.
You nailed it.
Rove is a political advisor, there are no more elections for Bush, if I were Rove, I'd leave now as well.
Those who cut off their noses to spite their faces punish not the ones who they intend to, but are doing a long-term damage to their own cause. They think themselves very smart but they're not smart at all.
That's probably the best fear mongering there is. Vote R or you will die.
No one blew the election. The outcome was almost exactly average for post WWII elections.
Which is why many of the Demos are going after Howie The Mad because they expected a real shellacking, another 50 seats to fall into the Demo camp. We are well within striking distance of taking the house back as well as the Senate in the next election.
With a strong candidate we should be fine in two years with a House and Senate majority as well as the Presidency.
Always remember, the Demos are aborting themselves out of existence. There will be close elections, but we will dominate because we are having more children. It doesn't mean that we will always win, but we will dominate most of the time.
And our agenda will dominate. Take heart.

I suppose Rove is joining Elvis on the Trilateral Commission that controls the world.
You're right. I usually don't fall for it, but once in a while we all do.
Bush would not have had such a rough time with Gore had he not allowed Gore to run on the same platform as him. If Gore had not been tied to scandal he would have beat Bush in a landslide. The GOP looses usually when running Liberal. Bush ran moderate/liberal in 2000 and Gore had no problems running right of him. I will say this and you can bookmark these words. If the GOP runs a moderate in 2008 for POTUS you will see Hillary win because she will run a to the right campaign. You can save this thread quote me on it I'm so sure of it. It's not something I wish to see happen by any means but a simple reality off it.
In 2000 when everyone in here was saying Bush had it all wrapped up for an easy win over Gore I said if he won it would be very close because Gore played Me Too Politics has dad taught him. I honestly expected Bush to loose due to him telling the conservative base to kiss off and his arrogance toward conservative leaders both elected and in organizations.
Bush won against Kerry and it was narrow. Had Joe Liberman gotten the nod or anyone else besides Kerry who stayed hard left Bush would have likely been booted out in 2004 as well. Hillary is not as politically stupid as John Kerry. The GOP better wake up.
They're not Freepers. They're idiots.
