The rumors that chief White House political architect Karl Rove will leave sometime next year are being bolstered with new insider reports that his partisan style is a hurdle to President Bush's new push for bipartisanship. A key Bush advisor tells the US News Political Bulletin, "Karl represents the old style and he's got to go if the Democrats are going to believe Bush's talk of getting along." The advisor said a departure might come in "weeks, not months." A Rove ally, however, noted that he has a record of out-witting his critics.
No, it wouldn't be funny, it would just suck.
This house of cards is beginning to look like the current administration is giving in and giving up. Say it isn't so.
If I could add to the spite-mongers, short sighted fools whom never took the time to look at the bigger picture out there, if we do lose in Iraq and what happens when there is as many as (3) SCOTUS openings in the next three years. Those that did not vote GOP or voted Libertarian or Donk to punish the GOP, have only hurt their cause more in the long run. We had a real chance to finally change the face of SCOTUS for many years to come. Now we might as well whiz in the wind because a strong conservative will never get past the donks now, never.
I agree. Bush continues to dream he can get along with the Rats in Congress just like he got along with Rats in Texas. But DC Rats are a different breed and they will always try to stab you in the back while playing nice to your face. They haven't changed since Bush's father got nailed by them by raising taxes believing the Rats when they promised to cut spending. Republicans have principles and we must get back to conservative roots before we start compromising with the devil.
I guess you would rather have had Gore for the last 6 years???
There is a group here who would say BUSH CAN'T SWIM....if he was seen walking on water.
See tagline
it isn't so
Just breaks my heart to see the tantrum that was thrown on election day.
I didn't get there first in line, but I voted. If the GOP drifts further left, however, why bother?
I guess you must have been asleep.
Harriet Ellan Miers (born August 10, 1945 in Dallas, Texas) is a American lawyer, currently serving as White House Counsel.President George W. Bush nominated her on October 3, 2005 for Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court to replace Justice Sandra Day O'Connor. Opposition from conservative groups unhappy with her credentials ultimately sank her nomination. On October 27, President Bush withdrew her nomination, saying Miers had asked him to do so.
You are very right, snugs.
The dems and MSM have had BDS for 6 years...and now, I do believe that some of "our own" have caught it.
I wish they would quarantine themselves.
I hope they get it out of their systems soon, this place is getting depressing.
Thank you Mol.
Can you believe some of the incredibly ignorant statements that are made here?
The kids were just "acting out"?
AMEN!!!
No that would suck. Wish we had won the senate so Bush wouldn't have to send up a stealth nominee.
One day a Peacock, the next day a Feather-duster.
