Exactly.
If he was a true conservative, he should have done his best to remove Hillary from the Senate. After all, his LIBERAL leanings are much more in tune with New York than the country as a whole.
He could have done his country and his state a GREAT SERVICE--by defeating Hillary NOW--in a state that knows him best and more accurately mirrors his liberal values.
I suspect that his values are not that much different than Hillary's; hence, he saw no reason to try to replace her. The status quo in NY was fine with him. And he expects conservatives to support him? Give me a break.

Absolutely. I've heard him wax eloquent on Islamofascism.

The fight is only lost if we surrender. Rudy is a law and order guy. He supports abortion in as much as it is the law of the land. Change the law he will still support the law of the land. He is a legal creature.
We had a set back, we will come back form this. The Democrats will mess up, it's as sure as the sun rising in the morning.

I agree with you, but I do not believe Rudy will win a general election.

Dunno enough about Romney or Hunter, but between McCain and Guiliani, Hillary! can have it. After a certain point, it doesn't matter if they're a "lesser" evil, they're still just too evil. I'll just skip that line on the ballot.
To: The Wizard
Maybe the right thing by New Yorkers, but you guys elected Bloomberg and Hillary!. I'll take my vote elsewhere, or withhold it, thank you.
To: Little Ray
the beast vote was fixed.

Geeeeez, I was talking about last week, not 6 YEARS AGO!! I understand why he didn't 6 years ago.
Come on now. If it was a problem last week, why would anyone assume it would not be a problem two years from now.

Maybe not in less partisan times, but from what I am getting from people who vote, but don't dwell on politics. Rudy is a very popular guy. Granted the folks on here deride him, but it's easy to apply litmus tests from your keyboard without taking the mood of the electorate into account. People voted for change in 2006 not because of Conservative values, but because it's all partisan BS all the time and none of these Congress Critters seems to care about the average American.
We lost Allen and Santorum along with Chafee and DeWine. Think about it.

Those issues aren't "of the past".
Vote NO for Rudy in '08!

"Rudy would be a breath of fresh air after 6 years of liberal Bush policies!"
Gun control and illegal immigration (both things Rudy is on the liberal side of) are not "social conservative" issues.

[ they are going to karp about his re marriage, (so what) or the fact that he actually does not agree with every conservative position, ]
True Rudy G.. has ethics problems as does Newt Gingrich..
Who is 10 times the man Rudy G is.. politically..
Newt will NOT be forgiven but Rudy G will..
WHY?... Rudy G is a liberal, Newt 180 degrees out from liberalism..
Same with Mitt Romney.. as conservatives they are poseurs..
Newt is the genuine article.. the real McCoy... The Anti-RINO...
