Rudy For President
Stardate: 0611.15

Posted on 11/15/2006 3:19:33 AM PST by The Wizard

They are beginning....the lies and the smears and the awful things that the fools think will turn good conservatives away from Rudy, but I tell you, and I am conservative, Rudy is the guy.....the Man....a leader for America who will hold our values and our heads up and not be scared away by liberals, the media or any tin horn dictator anywhere in the world

We need a man with values and principles and that man is Rudy G.....

they are going to karp about his re marriage, (so what) or the fact that he actually does not agree with every conservative position, but I say this election, the office of the president, it too important to be held hostage to "every stinking" ideal we all hold true....

CONSIDER the witch!!!!Is there anything more frightening than that.....

I would forgive Rudy G quite a lot if it meant that he would be represetnting America in the world....

They think the "Cowboy" was tough......

Welcome to New York

let's give these Islamofacists someone who will not be intimidated and who can kick some butt....

Let's give the media someone who knows where's the bodies are....Rudy was tried by Fire in NYC and he made it.....

I endorse Rudy G for President Of the United States.

FreeRepublic.com should also, IMHO

Rudy defends the Clintons.

When Bill Clinton had that televised contretemps with Chris Wallace, Clinton told Wallace it was "neocons" stopping him in his attempt to fight terrorism.

Oops. Shouldn't have said that. Blaming neocons is a Big no-no.

Then low and behold, 9/11 WOT Warrior Rudy, emerges unasked, and tells the world that the Clintons were NOT to blame for the spread of terrorism (Who told you to say that Rudy? Billy Kristol?)

Doesn't Rudy know the Clintons spent the past 6 years doing every thing possible (using Bush-hater Soros' dollars) to encourage the insurgents to rout US troops?

Rudy rushing to defending Clintonism takes care of the desperate cries from Rudy rooters who insist conservatives must sacrifice everything, and nominate Giuliani-----in order to to keep Hillary out of the White House.

Bubba, Hillary, and Rudy are cut from the same cloth. They believe they have the magical ability to "cloud men's minds" so that everything they ever said or did---anything that gets in the way of their ambitions---- is magically erased.

Rudy's a self-professed Clinton liberal.

With Bush, we got a Social Conservative, and a liberal on everything else.
With Rudy, you get a social liberal, but a conservative on crime, immigration, defense, fiscal policy. Rudy would be a breath of fresh air after 6 years of liberal Bush policies!

"What the liberal Rudy supporters don't understand is that a large number of conservatives actually vote their moral and religious convictions."

I totally respect that, I really do. It's very important to hold fast to your convictions in your personal life.

Politics, however, is a different animal. Winning the political war against the liberals requires strategery and perhaps even compromise. It will take winning several more battles to claim the ideological war in this country.

If voting for Rudy helps spare us Hitlery, that's a battle I want to win. When Rudy helps advance the WOT, we can perhaps go hard-core to the right in 2016.

Don't lose sight of the fact that since 1980 conservatism is advancing in this country ... the primary reason we lost last week was because of the media's biased presentation of the war ... if the perception among the sheeple were that the war is going well (or, more accurately, that wars are messy and take a long time to resolve), the GOP would have won in a landslide.

If Rudy helps turn that perception around with a CLEAR VISION of the war on terror (which he has done incredibly well), then the GOP will ride a red wave to victory again in 2008 and beyond.

Rudy's not the perfect candidate. But he is right on the No. 1 issue facing our country. The war to overturn Roe v. Wade can wage on only if we preserve our freedom in the first place.

So the future for the GOP is to get conservatives to vote for liberals like Rudy Giuliani. Sounds like the leftwing political propaganda has turned you into a mindless shill for liberal causes. Pathetic.

Rudy is not a "social liberal." A social liberal believes that government should stay out of our bedroom, including the gun in the desk drawer. Let me also note that Rudy is big fan of the failed war on drugs.

'Off base'? Oh really?

Yep, just combine enforcing existing statutes--with the phenomenal increase in technology,,,,meaning 'increased surveillance', 'data mining' of emails and internet traffic, the Patriot Act, a huge expansion in the reach and scope of the Office of Homeland Security (which would most certainly happen under Rudy)and someone who is an advocate of 'gun control' and maybe be can REALLY FINALLY BE SAFE!!! (rolling eyes)

The interesting part of my 'big brother' concerns, though, is NOT the Republicans or even Rudy. I actually trust the Republicans to use the power of the govt benevolently. However,,,,,

My concern is what happens (once you vastly expand the police powers, scope and reach of the govt) when the 'faces change'--and a democrat administration takes the White House (which WILL HAPPEN SOMEDAY).

Once that door is even opened wider than it already is (and Rudy would open it really WIDE, as he did in NY, as YOU STATED)--I shudder to think of how the power of the govt will be abused.

As Ronald Reagan so eloquently stated, "No government in world history has EVER voluntarily reduced its size". Heck, even he couldn't do it.

If Rudy gets elected, it will be without my vote.

Not to worry. Some on here (reference post #275) feel that our votes are not needed.

It's the same GOTV effort that worked so well for '06. Then, when some take them up on their offer to not vote R, they're highly offended. Tough. They dare call US uncompromising, look at these deewbs fawning all over the RATpublicans, using the same scare tactics that again, worked so well for '06. Blackbird.

if Rudy is nominated, you get a choice between two liberals, regardless of who the democrats nominate. That would be a dream election for the MSM--a liberal gets elected no matter what

Just add enough fuel to the two-party smokescreen to make sure that the people remain falsely divided, arguing, and pitted against themselves ("At least he's not a Democrat!"), and all goes well; because, after all, everyone knows, and the people in power know it especially, that when the people are divided against themselves, they are not united against government...

He can not win without the South and, with his stance on gay rights and abortion he is just wasting his time, no use wasting mine.

Most and, many think the evangelicals cant swing an election, go ahead, give it a try.

The GOP needs Rudy as it's leader like a drowning man needs a shower. As a person, Rudy is marvelous, as a New Yorker he's a hero and a great leader. But he is from the Rockefeller wing of the party, now long discredited and the source of all our current troubles. A blue state strategy is a loser. We have been there and done that. Let's move on.
