The announcement by McCain, who has put together campaign organizations in many of the states with early nominating contests, was widely expected. The intentions of Giuliani, who has been less active in early organizing, had been less clear.
Giuliani's campaign team said the committee was simply an opening move designed to keep his options open, with a final decision still to come.
"This filing affords him the opportunity to raise money and put together an organization to assist him in making his decision," Giuliani adviser Anthony Carbonetti said.

No. that is what the left is trying to make us. It is not what we are.
The first amendment was written in the context of the Judeo-Christian ethic that underpins the entirety of Western Civilization.
Any extrapolation of that right which causes it to attack it's own root is DOOM.
That is exactly what the liberal/socialist interpretation of "separation of church and state" is doing... Destroying the Judeo-Christian root. Without that root we will certainly fail.
We were founded a Christian nation. We have been a Christian nation. We ARE a Christian nation, even yet.
But our slow drift into European socialism has infected us deeply. Everything that was right is now wrong, and everything that was wrong is now "right".
do yourself a favor and compare pre-60's say (1920-1950's) statistics against today.
Look at divorce rates, abortion rates, teen pregnancies, unwed mothers, orphaned children, drug addiction. Look at how many 12, 14, and 18 year old children were having sex. How about pedophilia? Look at crime rates, strength of families, psychological health of everybody, care of the elderly.
Look at the welfare state, and the cost of health. Look at the tax rate vs. the ability of folks to save money. Look at how much of the country left their doors and windows open at night and their cars unlocked.
Talk to folks that are old enough to remember, don't just take the word of the MSM. Take a trip to the country (South, West, Mid-west small town) where it is still the way it WAS to a great extent.
In the light of what you'll find, try to justify your position and the liberal/socialist democrat agenda. I doubt you can.
Conservatives are not trying to change America, We're trying to change it back into what it has always been.

No it is NOT. It is quite defined. One of the benefits of principles.
the terms "amoral" and "morally relative" are fiction. they work to express a theory, like the term "infinite", but cannot be reckoned. There is no morally-neutral position because any moral position IS a moral position by it's definition.
I'm not a bad person because I don't believe it's murder
I would agree, it doesn't make you bad. It does make you WRONG though. Please understand that I believe you to be ignorant in this subject. Until you have your VERY OWN "bunch of cells" you are in fact incapable of understanding how very precious a child is. Be sure to come back here after God's gift to YOU and eat some crow... because you will have probably changed your mind.
If you would like a fair compromise on abortion, I am willing to let it come to referendum, and allow only females to vote... The only condition is that I would require them all to be mothers.
Bruce
So, you are advocating that people have the right to "choose" whether or not to terminate the life of a person whose life would be an inconvenience to them. Nevermind that in most cases, they could have exercised their "choice" in the first place and not become pregnant.
And yes, "pro-choice" people advocate for abortion, and support tax-payer funded abortion (regardless of the inividual taxpayer's stance on the issue.) "Choice" is not the correct way to characterize the termination of a human life.
Choice is a euphamism Abortion is a generous enough term. Murder is closer to the truth.
Watch the movie "Silent Scream" sometime. Watch a little baby human die. In agony. In the womb. You choose not to see that as a baby, and that is the legal authority today. You must understand, therefore, that I have no compunction at all about imposing my will on you, in reverse, if I and mine are ever able to get the power to do it.
At this late hour, the best thing I can think of is this quote:
"America Will Not Reject Abortion Until America Sees Abortion" - Priests for Life
Furthermore, there's a good reason why life is listed first in the "life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness" phrase in the Declaration of Independence (as flawed as its authors were).
Check out the posting history of DCBandita. I think the line "I smell ozone" is appropriate.
over here??? buzz off!!! - go back to DU.
we don't need any libs snooping around here taking opinion polls...
Yeah-- wanting to stop the murder of innocent children is purely a religious zealot view....whacko! I mean what is up with the laws against domestic violence too! Dang..it's your wife...if she don't want hit-- she can leave....now- you seem like a nice little lassie...run and get me my beer.....(hiccup) next thing ya know- them folks are gonna be knockin' on the trailer door every Sunday, wantin' to see my church bulletin to make sure I went to church...by the way- did you call the clinic about that bun in yer oven yet? Ya know the cost on that procedure goes up the longer ya wait darlin'-- better go git rid of it now....
The Gettysburg address don't say nuthin' 'bout abortion in it... nuthin'....
Is there anything, by this reasoning, that one's own "moral matrix" could not excuse?
Very appropriate indeed.
You have, unwittingly, FRMail.
This, frankly, is worth watching.
LOL!!!!
Could be fun!
;-)
When he was sentenced to hang, he was shouting to allah. You aren't saying we should not have removed him from power, are you?
After reading further posts from HE/SHE/IT, whoever it is, I'm inclined to believe this person isn't slumming, probably some kind of Democrat blog operative out trying to figure out the stance of the conservative right after the election and to "try out" some reasonable "moderate" arguments....subjects touched on here range the full gamut: guns, religion, abortion, WMDs and IRAQ, you name it. This person is not who some on this thread thinks they are.....
Media constantly harping on Republican "scandal" whether real or trumped up, while ignoring democrat scandal. The impression that the Republican Congress did nothing which was due in part to McCains gang of fourteen. Republicans moving too far left. I know, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to whine about Republicans moving too far left, then helping to put in radical lefties just to prove a point.
God.
Call it "political field research" Get out there find out what makes the "best of the best" (FR conservatives) argue amongst themselves, what creates dissention, what stumps them. Then, report back to DNC or whatever rabid liberal group they belong to so they can put it in their talking points papers for the MSM come the 2008 elections. They don't need it right now, they've got two years, but they're getting very devious. I wouldn't provide them the learning opportunity....
Maybe its not governments job to hold a persons hand from cradle to grave.
Heres where your reasoning is flawed. She didn't just "find herself pregnant." She did something to cause it. Liberals always act like women just suddenly wake up pregnant and now it has to be fixed. My sister "found herself pregnant" at 15. Her boyfriend was 17. They got married and had their baby along with 3 more over the years. They struggled over the years but they made it because they knew at the very young age of 15 and 17 that they had made a baby and they owed him his life. They have been married 41 years now. My sister in law and brother in law did the same at the same age. They were 15 and 18. And I know for a fact that even if abortion had been available then, they wouldn't have done it. One more thing about this story, my sisters firstborn is mentally challenged. I don't exactly know the politically correct word for it. But they love him as much s they do their 3 daughters. My sister in laws youngest is, too. But their answer to that is that God chose them to be the parents of these children so they would have a good life. Amazing at the wisdom coming from people so young.
