"We are going to continue to use the term holiday because there are several holidays throughout that time period, and we certainly need to be respectful of all of them" reads the quote attributed to you in a recent Fores article on several retailers who have moved back towards "Christmas" advertising rather than the politically-correct "Holiday" advertising. Funny, one can mention Christmas without disparaging any other holiday, be it Hannukah, Ramadan, or Kwanzaa. Its not as if saying Merry Christmas is the same as saying "Hannukah sucks" or "Ramadan who?" The truth of the matter is that Christmas, as a season of Christian giving in celebration of God's gift of Jesus for our redemption, is the reason that this is the period that will make or break your fiscal year - not Hannakuh, not Ramadan, not Kwanzaa. One can recognize the holiday that is at the core of this seasons retail importance without disaparaging other traditions. What's next, you won't want to celebrate the 4th of July, just in case you might offend French-Americans so close to Bastille Day?
Thank you, just sent a note asking them to cancel my Credit Card account and wished her a Merry Christmas.
My suggestion is to email to Susan S. Hoff, Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer.

Send it to Bill O'Reilly. He said he will be publically outting the companies who do this again this season.

I did:
Twas the night before Christmas
And all through Best Buy.
The quiet was deafening
The cashiers asked why
The store was so empty
of shoppers with cash
It's cause little Dawn
Gave the Christians a bash.
now Christmas at Best Buy
will end with a NO SALE splash.

Mailed and sent my opinion on the issue. I am an avid Best Buy shopper and have been saving to spend major dollars there this Christmas...and use up all of my points rewards as well...I just sent an list of what I will now be purchasing at wal-mart,circuit city, and other retailers who understand that Christmas is a Federal holiday and a religious one as well that is celebrated by 90 percent of the U.S.
What a stupid move on their part to offend Christians this way by saying it is offensive to say Christmas.
