True conservatives never subscribed to that overpriced birdcage liner in the first place.

Time and Newsweek run rings around the WS and NR.

As does the rest of the MSM, we have ZERO conservative publications with ZERO abilities to educate the public.

Another failure of Conservatives.

Neocons are not conservatives. I think we have all known that for some time now.

It ought to be obvious to us all by now that everybody knew what was going to happen Tuesday except us voters. Senator Cornyn mentioned on FNC yesterday that he spoke with the new SecDef "a couple days ago" - a timeline that would have put that conversation prior to any polls losing. Kristol has been sounding the alarm for many months.

We won't get fooled again.

Kristol and The Weak-ly Standard are not Republicans and have never been they have supported the left to the extent they helped with the loss to the al Qaeda supporters that won the last election.

In my opinion they helped elect a pedophile or a Homosexual and this scares me. I base that solely on his writings.

George Allen and his campaign blew their chances of winning with the idiotic 'macacau' remark and then the absolutely assinine strategy of going after Jim Webb's novels.

Hugh Hewitt mentioned in a column back in the spring that George Allen would have to run a perfect campaign to beat Jim Webb. Allen didn't and he made enough missteps to lose a squeaker of a race. Otherwise it would have been a cakewalk.

Our local fiscal / pro-military conservative talk show host here in Denver, Mike Rosen on 850am KOA, also spoke very highly of Jim Webb having known him personally for over the past two decades. Mike called him a good friend.

The Standard wrote a long tribute to Webb, calling him a "blood and soil conservative".

Not having read the other Standard articles in question, I can't really speak to them. However, I think you misunderstand the Standard's depiction of Webb. The term "blood and soil conservative" is a way of calling Webb a borderline Nazi. It's definitely not a compliment.

If you look closely you will see that the Wall St. Journal also moved left. Guess those declining subscriptions were the reason for the treason.

It wasn't just the Weekly Standard. Any number of our "friends" spent the election season heaping uncritical praise on these Democrats rather than engaging in dispassionate analysis of their records.

If it is possible to take a half a minute away from fawning over Ann Coulter, it should be noted that she was gaga over Harold Ford--and repeatedly promoted the false claim that he is conservative.

Congratulations on your cancellation. I cancelled mine long ago, along with a letter to the publisher telling them that I didn't need yet another "Time" or "Newsweak" only this one pretending to be conservative.

Kristol has had his shorts in a major wad since McLame lost in the 2000 primary and while I had believed that Fred might have been a bit more conservative, his response one evening on Brit's show regarding illegal immigration, made me want to throw up. He too, sounded just like the usual D.C. elite, who know what's best for the great unwashed.

I use to like Bill Kristol. I used to thing he was a fresh-faced guy with some fresh approaches. Now I realize he's just a twit looking for approval from the big boys in the media.

Barnes is a little better, but he's come down a few nothses as well.

There are several convoluted definitions of neo-cons but if Bill Kristol is an example - who wants to save them?

I had these morons pegged as liberals years ago.

I don't resent the crap I used to take from some folks here on FR for exposing them as frauds, but it's good to see that so many people here agree with me on this.

The New York Post, the Weekly Standard, and Fox News . . . three media outlets owned by Rupert Murdoch and dominated by big-government, globalist, liberal frauds like Kristol, Barnes, Podhoretz, etc. I haven't patronized any of this sh!t for years.
