I always enjoy reading your posts. I am going to stand with my President, and continue to pray for him and our country. By the way what part of GA> are you? I,m in Madison, about 60 miles east of Atlanta.

It will be two years until we can choose a new President, and it is the height of stupidity to think that we are going to help our cause by tearing down Pres. Bush and strengthening the position of the liberals.
At yesterday's press conference, the Pres. left our cause. Yes, I would love to rally around our Pres., but how can I when he is rallying around Nancy Pelosi . . . and there is a way to congratulate and publicly say "we will work together" and yet not abandon the people who sent you to your office - but the Pres. did exactly that y'day.

"But the ones that stayed home aren't posting here...they're people who generally aren't involved in politics."
For all of the blaming of conservatives going on, I see very few here on FR who have said they actually voted for someone other than the Republicans. Most, like myself, voted Republican. I think you're 100% right that it was the Repubs who aren't so politically active that were discouraged enough by the RINOs to stay home.

Bush said himself yesterday, "Americans expect us to work together in a bi-partisan way." That is not a tone of defiant checks and balances, friend. So much of life is timing. This is not the time to be partisan or spiteful. It is time for unifying the country. Bush has not abandoned his principles and he is giving the RATS plenty of rope to hang themselves.

I agree. It's time we American's stand up for what this President has fought so hard for, for so long. He is a wonderful man and I love him and it hurts to hear bad things being said about him, especially from those who claim to support him.
Given all he's been given in his time as President is more than anyone should have to bear. But he's done it with grace and a "cowboys" style and I for one, am quite impressed that he's still going strong.
He's human and has made mistakes. But I refuse to hold them against him. Compared to "other" Presidents, he's done one hell of a good job.
MAY GOD BLESS PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH and guide him through the remainder of his term. Prayers go out.

We won't get any more Alito's or Roberts'. And remember that Alito was the President's second choice - we could have very well gotten another Souter if it hadn't been for the conservative outcry.

I don't know if it's been posted anywhere but I heard on the radio that Rumsfeld was going to be let go no matter how the election went and the reason it wasn't announced before the elections was because BUSH DIDN'T WANT TO MAKE THE ISSUE A POLITICAL ISSUE.
BLAST IT MAN, WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH HIM?!?!?!?!?!? If he fires Rumsfeld before the election then we might have the majority. If this is true then Bush shot himself in the foot and it cost him his majority! And besides, the rats had no problem making Rumsfeld a political issue. Geez!

It would appear people who claim to be conservatives are the ones who DIDN'T VOTE. Here's a news flash. That is what loses elections.
Quit blaming the voter. Blame the party for not having a better record or better platform.

I've spoken to several active-duty and retired soldiers in the last two days...they are- dumbfounded. God bless them. Our soldiers were the big losers on Tuesday. Dems will most certainly try to (slowly) de-fund the war and investigate Bush to death. Meanwhile, our troops are left withering on the vine.
America forgot.

Please let your son know that there are millions of Americans who are solidly behind him! And we can't thank him enough for what he and his fellow Troops are doing. Not to mention the sacrifices their families are making. God bless.

I agree with you that in the last few days, I have seen some of the stupidest posts, and heard the most ridiculous commentary from "conservative pundits".
I'm not giving up on FR, yet.
