Gee, I took Economics in college. I know the arguments for free trade. However, those arguments blithely ignore the human costs. "Well, people will find new jobs in the service economy." That's as tactless as Marie Antoinette's "Let them eat cake." (Did you study enough history to grasp that reference, Mr. Sneeringly Superior?) When it comes to winning elections among people who are not as clever as you think you are, real world issues like "does this policy help me keep a good job?" matter, not abstract theories. Or are you a liberaltarian willing to belong to a splinter party which is "right," but never wins anything?

And please explain how transferring much of our industrial production to Red China's sweatshops (many controlled by Party or Army functionaries) helps our national security?

"No. It will be up to your heroes, the Minutemen to take on the Democrats -- to show everyone how you've stopped time, and instead of using a veto pen, you used a fence. "

A veto pen? How do I go about using that veto pen?

I for one do not relish the idea of living under the Democrat thumb for the next 40 years.

Yet at the same time you want to be counted as a man who supported Bush, you fought for the idea of all these DEMOCRAT VOTING illegal aliens becoming LEGAL VOTERS FOR THE DEMOCRAT PARTY. I don't understand how you rationalize that thinking.

How many illegal aliens voted on Tuesday across the country? I would bet millions did.

Had you been for closing the borders and jailing the employers of these criminals many more FReepers would have joined with you and demanded full enforcement of our existing immigration laws.

Next year, when the Democrat Party adds 20 million legal voters to their rolls, you people who are for open borders can stand up and say, "I am a Republican, I helped you outnumber the conservatives."

When the Democrats push Bush into withdrawing from Iraq through budget cuts or whatever, before the job is done, remember that it the amnesty entitled, new Democrats that are also demanding it, not us conservatives.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pelosi isn't telling Bush today, "Mr President, You want your comprehensive Guest Worker Plan voted on, well, get us out of Iraq and I will give it to you."

I have a hard time supporting the president because Bush is no more of a conservative than Pelosi is. The man wants globalism to succeed, a borderless North American Union, not an independent strong sovereign country like we have now.

If the Republican Party wants to support the NAU idea then I don't see why any of us are supporting them. We are conservatives not fascists, at least I know I am.

FASCISM – “A political philosophy and movement of extreme nationalism, militaristic imperialism, suppression of civil rights, and opposition to democratic social progress, expressed through the efforts of a fanatic minority to seize complete political power.” - The Grosset Webster Dictionary, revised edition, copyright 1947, printed 1978.

I think it's time to start supporting the Constitution Party and get America back on track. With a strong effort we can get true patriots in office who care about America, not globalism and the UN Charter.

By the way, I voted for John Ensign, not because he was a Republican but because he supports the troops and controlling our borders.

I support President Bush because I believe the war against Islamic jihadism is necessary for our survival. Also because I believed we had an historic once in a generation opportunity to completely remake the SCOTUS and the judiciary (that opportunity is now all but dead). Also because I like the things he did do right like the tax cuts, unsigned Kyoto, partial birth abortion ban, etc, and would rather have these things continue. I thought it would be a horrible mistake to demoralize the voters to the point they'd want to throw out the GOP. That's gonna hurt

I do not want illegal aliens to become voters. I don't want illegal aliens here at all. I do favor some sort of temporary worker program where willing workers can be brought in by labor contractors to supply temporary labor. And when the job is done (say the summer fruit harvest in California), the temporary workers go home.

What is your gut feeling about the GOP today? I see them as supporting a borderless North American Union, not an independent, strong, sovereign country like we have now. That is not the type organization that I feel deserves the support of American patriots. Let the Democrats support socialism! Have you ever read the UN Charter? It is the basis for the NWO and a globalist economy. Dividing the continents into unions, erasing the national borders, diversity and multiculturalism, reduction in the size of national military forces, which is one area that we way too far along with, IMO.

Give me a break. People like you with your head in the sand is why we took a whipping last Tuesday. Keep your denying head in the sand and we will get a bigger whipping in 2008.
Typical bushbot. If you don't bow down in his direction and state "all is well, all is great" regardless of the circumstances then people like you start the "you are a liberal" blather. The dems have suffered from the same myopia for years which is why they had been getting their heads handed to them.
Don't go away mad, just go away.
