We do indeed live in interesting times.
I believe our resolve is about to be tested like it's never been tested before and I pray we're up for it.
The Democrats and the leftist media see this election as a mandate against the president and the war. They are about to pull out all the stops in their mission to totally demoralize the American people. If they succeed to the point we pull out of Iraq before the Iraqis are strong enough to defend themselves, I'm afraid it'll be the Killing Fields all over again. Only this time much much worse and much closer to home.
Praying we have the national resolve to resist the enemy within. Praying we maintain the will to continue the fight against the global jihadists. Our very right to survive as a nation and a free people depends on it.
Our president and our troops are going to need our prayers and support now more than ever.
God willing, America will survive!
I think Ms. Clinton being elected Majority Leader could do it since she campaigned against him. In fact, a lot of Dems did just that.
There is always hope that he will get fed up!
Do you really think immigration and the border were this issues in this election?
The democrat were clever; they concentrated on the war in Iraq and were greatly aided by MSM and a 365 24/7 pounding of bad Iraq news.
What you say is true about the ILLEGAL immigration into this country and the gawd awful effect it will have on the GOP and our nation, but by God, with the democrats in control of both houses of congress, this is not the time to entertain talk of impeachment.
Democrats are FOR open borders and I personally hope the democrats will be so obnoxious as to infuriate the majority of voters. Watch the Bush tax cuts go south and MAYBE people will vote their pocketbooks and national security come '08.
I will pray for this nation and for the least amount of damage the democrats can possibly inflict.
I'll believe it when I see it ... either Snow was calling their bluff, which is magical, or we get some good out of this mess after all. Wait and see.
You want the future. I'll give you the future. In 2008, the right wingers will say "no way will I vote for McCain, Guiliani, or Romney. They all suck. I'm staying at home or voting 3rd party. Plus I want Lindsey Graham gone , and Voinovich gone and Liz Dole, and Susan Collins gone"
It's too late to have anything close to a good night, but thank you for the sweet sentiment. Take care, D1.
Johnnie, we all voted for the Republicans today in our own districts. Please explain how you see that as anyone firing the only people on our side.
As for people being on our side, I'd like to know who that was. For over five and a half years we demanded the border be brought under control. Was it? No.
Today we have some token troops on the border and the illegals have simply moved off into greener routes across the border. I've spoken to a border agent that confirms this.
We are not sending anyone back to Mexico. In fact we are considering a guest worker program and joint border security which is supposed to make travel between nations even easier, while the outer parimeter of three nations becomes our defense.
This doesn't appear as if anyone is on our side here. And frankly, I don't think I deserve some kind of punishment because democrats mustered their base better than our side could. Ask yourself why that was when you get time.
Because there wasn't one.
It was something Tony Snow said and they have run with it. Go figure.
I agree with that premise. I don't have a lot of faith in Lieberman though. I had a certain degree of trust in the guy until he teamed up with Gore, and then watched as Gore melted down saying all sorts of terrible things, without so much as a whimper in response.
It would be good if we could come to some kind of arrangement.

I know what you mean. Bye for now.
He was there when you needed him.
Today he needed you and you stabbed him in the back.
It is only because he is a great man that he will still be there for us tomorrow.
Any impeachment talk is both foolish and treasonous.
You mark my words.....should a move to impeach President Bush get underway, our country will see a very ugly civil war.

I do not like the slippage of our nation into the European model. This isn't going to help. That's my take on it.
Is the nation going to go down over night? No. This isn't going to help. That's my take on it.
D1
That's already been going on here for months and personally, I don't like it at all.
That's what I thought. The WH didn't have any statements listed. I've never figured out how a building could make a statement anyway...
She isn't on the stage yet...
If it works, I bet we can credit Dick Cheney.
I could not believe what he said when he was running with Gore and then the Dims turned on him in 2004 when he decided to run for President and really trashed him. I think he should be reminded of that fact.
I think they should offer him head of Armed Services and kick out Warner for Lieberman's caucusing with the GOP! :)
Yep, you demanded alright. Well since your demands fell on deaf republican ears, now you get a chance to demand stuff from the democrats.
