Democrats Will Take Control of the Senate

Looking at the votes still to be counted in MO it is bad news for Talent. He still has half of St. Louis County still to go. MT and VA are toast. 51-49 Democrats

I agree and that is the most demoralizing part of this whole thing. But we can't afford to let them win our heads. Not for a second.
I'm talking to myself as much as to you. Don't let it get to you. We are bloodied, but not beaten.
Drink a bunch of wine too. Helped me a lot! :)

Joplin has about 40K people, the county itself is barely over 100K, I believe. That's a suburb in KC. Those votes may make it interesting, but they wn't turn the tide.
Sickening to see Jackson county at about 61% for cloning, though.

The only place I have ever seen that statement is DU. I disagree with the liberals.

Oh the campaign began on Columbus day? I wasn't aware of that. Now how many weeks were the Dems and the Media hammering home the "War on the middle class" theme? A butt load more then 3 weeks. well.. the dems are in control.. and they are raising taxes on the middle class..

Allen race just updated. Difference is now 4745 with 10 precincts to report(was just 1560). Not a chance in hell now. Was a .07% difference with 13 precincts now .2% with 10 left. The precincts left went for Webb for the most part. He'll probably pad his lead enough to make a recount worthless.

And that is the bad news. The good news is that in 2008 we can beat the living s*it out of them because of it, come back bigger and better and cut taxes even further.

I cannot disagree. The dems can subpoena all they want.
The Constitution gives the Executive equal authority, iow, up their's.
It just wont be a pleasant 2 years because the dems will control the funding and they will cut the military and foreign policy funding Bush needs for the WOT.

Ironic, the military will have to save our bacon from terrorists and Democrats. You mean the military will have to save us from terrorists -- both international and domestic.

The Democrats are the most agenda-free political party I've ever seen win an election. This definitely looks like a "reaction" to me - whereby people just thought "Bush bad. Vote Democrat."
The Democrats will lose the advantage if they remain as devoid of ideas as they are now. They will lose even worse if they implement their bad ideas.

Well, you know how the spin goes if you are the Democrats: Blame the current sitting president (and his party) for anything wrong with the economy even if Congress controls the purse strings and actually passes legislature to get to the President to sign. If they wreck things in the next two years, the media will blame Bush.
Note the reverse of this: When Clinton gets the credit for a "balanced budget".
I am keeping a positive outlook on things given what happened tonight, but I know how the media works ;)

I cannot believe or accept that a large number of Republicans actually turned around and voted Democrat. Maybe we misunderestimated the size of the cut-and-run Republican crowd.

McCaskill giving her victory speech now!
...did I miss something?
