The GOP lost a somewhat safe seat in Indiana because a Libertarian loon siphoned off enough votes to put the Dem over the top.
The Rats are never more than a tax increase away from being voted back out. They will make convenient whipping boys for the 2008 elections.

I'm sorry, this is the money line. The American people have shown the Islamofacists that we don't have the stomach to fight.
I wish Mr. Steyn could tell me how the people of New Jersey could be so moronic and how the state GOP could be so totally inept. The mix of corruption, patronage and special interest that run this state with taxes rising through the roof, eminant domain abuse and contractors cutting down every tree in sight after hefty contributions to the Dems, you would think that the Republicans could find a candidate who could mount a somewhat effective campaign. They have plenty of ammo to use.
Spin it how you want but the end result is that Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of the House and the Dems are running important committees in the midst of the war on terror. And the consequences for the border issue are tremendous. This has been a bad night.
