What did Barone see, I missed it?

That's the $64 question.

It may have to do with Tennesee Senate. Maybe more. Hopefully, they're sweating about the Maryland Cardin call.

Yes I saw that and that is when I threw my hands up in the air. aaaaaahhhhhhh

I'm ticked about this exit polling nonsense. I wasn't gonna do this to myself but my hubby turned on the TV and once the tube is on I'm mesmerized. -_-

I also saw them call the race for Casey over Santorum with 1% of the precincts in. This makes me wonder. How many absentee ballots still have to be counted? Which precincts are being counted right now?

I wasn't expecting Swann to win but I have a hard time believing Casey won. I'm hoping for a turn around here but most of all I'd just like to slap the folks in the news that are still using the 2000, 2002, 2004 debunked myth of exit polling.

I think we need to wait in some of these races. I worked the polls here in VA and in my district I swear the turn out seemed higher than for the Presidential race and it was raining the entire afternoon. My district went for Bush by 60%+.

I think I read or heard someplace that absentee ballots in Maryland won't be counted until Thursday. Not sure why that long delay -- I assume the Maryland "machine" needs that leadtime to figure how the right numbers and outcome.

Did anyone see Howard "Yee-Haw" Dean a little while ago on Fox? I couldn't catch the interview because my sister called.

I saw the kook. He waited until after the interview, apparently, to snort another line because he wasn't the least bit entertaining.

Kristol is liberal on social issues and he has a real hard time being in a party with Christians. So a part of him is conservative - anti-commie on economic issues and Israel, but he is a liberal when it comes to social issues and disliking Christians just like every other liberal in America. He is for gay rights, for example, and it embarasses him to be associated with a party against gay special rights. That is the gloating part of him and we should never forget this abut "neos."

You want it clarified on why Kristol is described as a "rino"? Kristol is for a lot of issues Republican voters are against. He is a globalist - open borders and for a North American Federal Union. He is for gay special rights. He does not care much for being in a party with the "little" people - those who are not liberal limo wing nuts. Christians who vote Republican embarass him. He is only republican for global economic capitalism and for Israel.

Please clarify that statement.

RINO = Republican in Name Only. ....iow, not a conservative. Often a centrist. A party over principle type.

Country Club Pubbie = a Republican who's a comfortable member of the establishment and usually holds socially liberal/moderate and fiscally moderate/conservative views.

Just an expression, and certainly no offense to Republicans who actually belong to country clubs.

That exit polls are specious, to say the least. He said they would do no further projections tonight based on exit polls.

"Fox is dumping exist polls after determining that they are biased towards Dems 6-8+ percent."

Shut off that TV and listen to Hugh Hewitt on radio. He said the exit polls were broken 4 hours ago because they predicted Lamont over Lieberman by 4 points.

Mark Steyn is on with him now.

The "country club" types I know are successfull businessmen who employ people, belive in free enterprise, capitalism and no taxes. They are the most Conservative people I know. And they are staunch Republicans.

It sounds like you stereotype sucess with as RINOs just as Kerry besmirches our military.

The term "country club republicans" refers to people who are exactly that, successful people who employ people, believe in free enterprise, capitalism and no taxes. Conservatives, on the other hand, are frequently defined by "traditional" moral values including opposition to special rights for homosexuals, opposition to abortion and explicit religion in the public square (or at least a government which allows traditional religion in the public square). I think that is the difference. Kristol cannot stand these moral conservatives.

Why would you say that? Hastert, and the House leadership, have been some of the true upholders of conservative ideals.
