When you look at the results tomorrow, I think you're going to see that these "real true" conservatives" we're been hearing about for years -- you know, "If the GOP would run a REAL conservative, they'd win? -- lost

You bet they lost

Everything they've been screaming about will be thrown right out the window

The Senate will stay Republican. If the Dims want to whine about the next Alito, they won't be able to vote him down

You wantta bet? No Alito or his ilk will be confirmed.

J D Hayworth is losing w/68% reporting 53% to 45% damn.............no just damn

This is the future for the GOP if amnesty for illegal aliens goes through. Arizona has a big south-of-border immigration presence. They don't vote Republican, people! Please tell Mr. Bush and Mr. Rove! Amnesty equals more Democrats equals death for Republican Party!

Yeah, how convenient they decide to talk about who would run committees NOW instead of before the election, like Rush did.

Time to start fresh for 2008. Get a fresh face in there and all will go back to the GOP.

BTW, this is the worst news of all tonight:

Arizona Proposition 107:
Ban Same-Sex Marriage

Updated: 11:18 p.m. ET

Yes 322,329 49%

No 341,089 51%

I'd rather see the Democrats take both the House AND Senate than see a marriage vote go down...

Fred Barnes just said they Rats can easily take away funding for the war.

Mort says they will investigate EVERYTHING.

Nothing like distracting the administration during a war.

I think I'll find another hobby and just start worrying about politics before the '08 election.

Democrats just took another House seat.

Agreed. Now is the time to start over and revive the conservative movement.

The quest for power for its own end results in disaster every time.

I voted straight GOP, but it's clear that in many states, conservatives either voted for moderate-to-conservative Democrats to punish the GOP, or stayed home all together.

They will attack the Bush tax cuts right after they meddle with Iraq, add maybe simultaneously.

Agree. Pelosi will concede, saying "It's what the people want." Unfortunately for them, there is nothing to warrant an impeachment.

Right. Because he had a Republican majority in both the House and Senate.

He will veto bills now with lunatics running the House....

I'd like to see them try it. I'm sorry but people aren't THAT stupid. There will be no avoiding the obvious comparison with Clinton and the suggestion that the Dems simply want payback for making their boy look bad. The LAST thing people want is the acrimony that would bring.

We tried to warn the GOP that the immigration marches in the spring would depress the base and it did.

Frankly, I'm absolutely disgusted that the lack of a fence which has never before existed in our history (what are the odds of it becoming a reality under a dem controlled congress) is more important than the young men and women fighting in Iraq. Regardless of how "wide open" our borders are we have yet to be attacked here at home since 911, yet everyday our soldiers face bullets and bombs on our behalf. They have yet to lose even ONE battle in Iraq, but like their fathers before them who fought in Vietnam, with this election we may have condemned them to coming home feeling defeated because they left a job half done. Next thing you know Jon Carry will be bloviating about spending New Years in a Swift Boat over the Iranian border. And 2 years from now when the 2008 elections roll around we still won't have a fence, God knows what the situation in Iraq (or Afghanistan for that matter) will be, but the democrats will have become more entrenched. As the mother of one son who just left the service last year and one just beginning his, I can't begin to tell you the fear in my heart for my child. Evidently the right throws a tantrum every bit as well as the left.

The right supported Reagan in 1976 against moderate Ford and in 1980 against moderate Bush and liberal Anderson. You don't know what you are talking about.
