"FNC: Texas (Delay's old seat): called for the Democrat."

Here is another debacle thanks to the Republican leadership. Delay should have stayed in the race or got out before the primary.

I have read on many blogs that the guy who just won Delay's seat already made it clear that he would switch parties because the district is so Republican.

I'll find link if I can

I'm looking for the people who stated last week "No worries- in fact, I believe that we'll GAIN seats!". Ditto for the "When all is said and done, historians will regard George W. Bush as one of history's greatest Presidents" people.

I wouldnt give up quite yet, however the campaign has been very nasty down here and the democrats were convicting him left and right on the Abramoff scandal.

Yes, against stem cell research, defending the life of the unborn.

Good. I hope he uses it a lot more in the next 2 years too.

I'm not worried about tonight's elections. We now have the opportunity for the democrats to prove their worth, and they have to do it before a presidential election!

Let them pass the tax hikes and increase litigation to points where businesses leave the US. Let them make the federal government the official religion of the country. There is a tipping point.

If the republicans didn't give us the reform we needed, perhaps the democrats will provide the opportunity when their higher taxation laws and their welfare and entitlement programs, along with their continued slavery reparations attempts, break this nation.

Government is too big...perhaps we can get it to break under its own weight...the democrats are there answer!

"Even the Rats will come regret this." No they won't. They are commies.

Then it's up to us to help them come to this conclusion with our votes in '08

If it is 15 and stays 15 or so I wonder if any Blue Dog Dems will switch to GOP or vote with them and keep the far left out of the leadership.

Good point on the leadership...

Pelosi is strong however, and can use her power to bring other into line, even the blue dogs....

But we shall see! The job is not guaranteed and things can change. There are Democrats who are trying to bring some sanity to the party, but there are not enough. But some of these newbies may join the club...
