Businessman pardoned by Clinton found dead in condo (Almon Braswell)

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say a businessman pardoned by former President Clinton has been found dead inside his South Beach condo.

Miami Beach police say 63-year-old Almon Braswell was found dead October 28th in his Ocean Drive condo by his employees. It's believed he died from a previous injury.

Additional information hasn't been released.

The Miami-Dade County medical examiner is labeling Braswell's death as "unclassified" pending more tests.

Clinton granted 177 pardons and clemencies just before leaving office in 2001. Braswell was pardoned of convictions for fraud and other crimes stemming from false claims in 1983 about a baldness treatment.

His pardon became one of the most criticized after it was learned that Clinton's brother-in-law, Hugh Rodham, had been paid 200-thousand dollars to work on the case. Rodham later returned the money.

Maybe his donation to the Clintonazi Library wasn't big enough.

LOL at all the house cleaning comments on here. Just a guess but I'm betting Marc Rich doesn't get "cleaned up". I'd guess he has his own pitbulls and it could get to be quite a war between two extended crime families.

OTOH if they are actually cleaning house, the earlier they do it the better for them. All the jokes and reawakened downside interest need time to die down before '08. This could be interesting.

The only thing I don't get is that Associated Press reported it and will they continue to do so...

Look for a lot more pardonees to disappear as Hillary prepares for her Coronation.

Yup... like in Goodfella's when Tommy & Jimmy start wacking all their buddies.

Would be interesting to see just how much he did turn over to Clinton's favorite charity.

Item from 'quackwatch'. . .In December 2005, Braswell signed a stipulation under which he: Will pay $1 million and turn over assets worth $3.5 million to settle the FTC’s charges.

Wonder if he did already or it was 'pending'. . .

. . .almost sounds like the previous attempt failed. . .

LOL

It is an odd statement though. Usually you read, 'lingering illness', 'pre-existing condition', but 'previous injury'? How far back was this 'previous injury'? Very odd.

The permanently injured Almon Braswell.

I'd suspect a bald, impotent man as the killer.

Warminng up. . .cleaning up - and a lot of loose trash out there to take care of, on Hillary's behalf.

Who was that old Private Eye that Hillary engaged... and then they later hired to shake down Bubba's many flirtations... Pellicano? Something like that... I bet he's got a few commissions he's pursuing. Can't allow a few "inconvenient truths" and "old reminders" reach the light of day.

As Jim McDougal said: the Clintons are like a tornado... they come into your life and leave death and destruction in their wake.

Apparently, Clinton never received the envelope.

Kinda noticeable that they didn't define the previous injury.

Gun shot wound in Marcy Park? Auto accident by a big black limo?

Makes me think of Studds "falling" while walking his dog.

She may have more than one scummy brother, but I though I read a while back that the company of the pardoned one went bankrupt and the company was going after him to give the money back (they called it a loan). I don't think the money was ever paid back.
