Clinton: Democrats Will Take Power Because Republicans Have Abandoned Principles (Barf Alert)

SAN FRANCISCOPresident Clinton said last night that Democrats are on the verge of taking control of Congress because Republican leaders in Washington have abandoned the core principles once associated with their party.
"The reason we are at this moment is that they do not represent faithfully the Republicans and the more conservative independents in the country. Otherwise, we wouldn't be here tonight," Mr. Clinton told donors at a fund-raiser for Democratic congressional candidates. "This is a sweeping, deep, big thing
.If you're a conservative on the budget, on law enforcement, on the rule of law, when it comes to the environment, on the conservation of our military resources, you have to be a Democrat."
The former president also said Americans are no longer responding to the tried-and-true Republican campaign tactic of caricaturing Democrats as wide-eyed liberals.
"For so long their strategy of turning us from three-dimensional human beings into two-dimensional cartoons worked for them, that they ran that old dog out of the chute one time too many," Mr. Clinton said. "I don't want to be told that I have to vote because I should be very afraid,'" he added, putting spooky emphasis on the word, "very."
Organizers said last night's event brought in $2.5 million, the largest haul of the year for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
At times the fund-raiser, held in a downtown theater near its capacity of 1800 people, seemed like an ebullient coronation for Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the San Francisco Democrat who is expected to become speaker of the house if her party can pick up 15 seats on Tuesday.

I have a difficult time believing that Clinton could even say such a thing with a straight face, considering the Democrats have never HAD any principles.

Your title shouldn't say "barf alert", it should say "dilusional alert"
In the most recent Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, a delusion is defined as:
A false belief based on incorrect inference about external reality that is firmly sustained despite what almost everybody else believes and despite what constitutes incontrovertible and obvious proof or evidence to the contrary. The belief is not one ordinarily accepted by other members of the person's culture or subculture (e.g. it is not an article of religious faith).

I think she is right. The Republican party for over 100 years believed in 4 core principles. Smaller government, Lower taxes, Individual rights and Constitutional Freedom.
It has increased "fees" (aka taxes), increased the size, scope and power of the government, individual rights are a thing of the past and no GOP representative has even read the Constitution on who, works for whom.
The dem's have never changed. They believe in big government, high taxes, powerful government and divide and conquer of the people to destroy once great countries, like their ancestors did to Rome, Egypt et'al.

I've never understood this crap. First, you tell us conservatives are all the devil. Then you tell us that conservatives aren't really conservative. Then you tell us you're really conservative, so vote for you instead of someone who actually is a conservative.
Is there a name for this kind of logical fallacy? Lately it's been all the rage for barking moonbats to "define" conservatism and then tell conservatives that they don't fit the "definition". Like that matters. Let's say you're arguing with a seedless watermelon. You tell the seedless watermelon that it isn't really a fruit, because fruits, by your definition, have seeds. Does that mean the watermelon now has seeds? No. It means you're a complete idiot.

If you're a conservative on the budget,= you want to raise taxes not stop spending.
on law enforcement,= cops cops and more cops like we enforced Waco
on the rule of law,= no listening in on terrorists or waterboarding
when it comes to the environment,= government take over of private lands. Property rights ignored or squashed
on the conservation of our military resources,= cut military spending and fight only when the UN or France want us to. Never defend U.S. interests abroad
you have to be a Democrat."

A man with "core principles" might not live in a phony sham marriage for all these years. Bill and Hillary Clinton have not even slept in the same hotel room on trips for well over a decade or so according to those "in the know".
The worst thing about Bill Clinton being president was that he would no STFU! It's been so nice to have "W" in the White House because the guy just does his job without much "noise". With Bill Clinton it was "blah blah blah" every day. Even when it's not an election season Bill Clinton can't keep his mouth shut. He and his shrill and stupid wife would do the country a great favor just by going away. But alas, they don't have enough money yet it seems. Which is all they care about anyway, the money and the "stuff" that comes with it.
