Why Kerry's Remarks Are so Damaging

Kerry's remarks are so damaging because they're really a Freudian slip that'll remind a lot of people about a fundamental truth: Democrats' disdain for our military, this country, its traditions and its heritage...

...their condescension of the common man (whether it's a US soldier or blacks they treat as invalids incapable of improving their own lot in life without government help or quotas)

...their elitism...

....their repeated (and clumsy) efforts to hide their disdain and arrogance in their pursuit of political power...

...their efforts to misrepresent what they really believe and what they'd really do if put in power (raise taxes, increase government spending, reduce our military preparedness, delegate our national security to other countries)...

...their ignorance (our military happens to be significantly better educated than the general population and the most educated, professional, high-tech armed force in the history of the world)

...and their shameless attempts to keep pretending they're something they're not...

These are not true Americans in the traditional sense of the word. These are not the Democrats of old -- like Truman, Roosevelt or Kennedy. They are not people of integrity.

They are not the kind of people we can trust to put our economy, our national security or our military first at this challenging time for both our national security and our economy's competitiveness.

Kerry's "joke" is just the latest reminder. No one's laughing. If anything the criticism of his remarks has been way too lenient. These people need to be exposed for what they really are -- a fifth column...a bunch of self-serving useful idiots at best unqualified for any position of national authority in this country. Maybe in France, but not here.

Democrats are the most dangerous enemy of America.

They have the capacity to do the most harm. The Terrorists and evil state leaders do all they can to support the Rat effort.

It been stated many times before on this forum, but it is worth repeating. When our guys came back from WW II, we won the war against Fascism but left the back door open to Communism as they successfully co-opted our entertainment, media, and academic institutions. They have spent the last 50 years indoctrinating our society and destroying the character and traditions of our great country. Only with the advent of the internet and talk radio in the last 20 years have we been able to deal with this subversive fifth column.

Guys like Kerry are the true face of the Democratic party that is now essentially the communist party of America. That is why guys like Zell Miller and Liebermann were tossed overboard, and guys like Kerry are so well protected. They are merely following their playbook to reacquire power through attacking and destroying American values to be replaced by their values which come right out of the Communist manifesto. That is why they hate America so much and specifically patriotic, god fearing (i.e. Christians) Americans. That is why they want to demoralize us and love attacking our military which as an institution represents the best of America and its values that have made it such a great nation. They are not going away and have dropped the facade to go all out to win. The scary part is 40% of our population apparently agrees with them or has been successfully co-opted.

I've seen Colmes every night on H&C since this story broke. He is making a colossal ass of himself. Not even rats speaking out against Kerry's words who are worried about their own races are trying to claim it was a joke gone bad.

I am so sick of him I am about to quit watching the show. He tries to get all the guests to agree with laughably absurd assertions and conclusions. IIRC, on last night's show not even Bob Beckel would agree with him. He interrupts constantly and never varies his formulaic attacks. He is clearly a proud graduate from the Democrat school of rhetoric, which includes talking nonstop over the other person, drowning out their answers and commentary when it disagrees with their own leftwing talking point. Democrats are constantly saying they raise issues because there should be a public dialogue over it, but then they do everything they can to silence voices in disagreement with their own.

I am hoping against hope that the commie wing candidates, Hillary, Kerry and Feingold, outdo one another in their '08 prez primary by revealing just how far left they are.

Their greatest coup was the media. Now, with the MSM writhing in the beginning of their death throes, they are really baring their true selves. It reminds me of that Al Pacino movie, The Devil's Advocate, when the devil finally reveals his true identity as the devil.

Even if we believe Kerry's explanation, which I don't, what are we to make of a man who was nearly president, a leading US senator, bitterly calling the President stupid, as if he were a child in a sandbox talking to another child who had taken away his toy?

I am amazed that this man is taken seriously by any one. All can think is that the media don't take him seriously, but promote him anyway for their own cynical reasons, and that his fans in the electorate are clueless and get there political analysis from late night comedians.

I agree with all your comments on Colmes. I don't much care for Hannity either. Though I often agree with him I find him smug, pious, and a whiner. Still, I love his technique of hitting hypocritical Dems with simple, clear, yes or no questions that they cannot answer without enraging either their base or middle America.

JERUSALEM – Everybody has an opinion about next Tuesday's midterm congressional election in the U.S. – including senior terrorist leaders interviewed by WND who say they hope Americans sweep the Democrats into power because of the party's position on withdrawing from Iraq, a move, as they see it, that ensures victory for the worldwide Islamic resistance.

The terrorists told WorldNetDaily an electoral win for the Democrats would prove to them Americans are "tired."

They rejected statements from some prominent Democrats in the U.S. that a withdrawal from Iraq would end the insurgency, explaining an evacuation would prove resistance works and would compel jihadists to continue fighting until America is destroyed.

They said a withdrawal would also embolden their own terror groups to enhance "resistance" against Israel.

"Of course Americans should vote Democrat," Jihad Jaara, a senior member of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group and the infamous leader of the 2002 siege of Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity, told WND.

I think Hannity is slightly pious, but I certainly don't think he is smug and definitely not a whiner. Now, Colmes, on the other hand, is about the biggest whiner I've ever heard.
