ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Authorities closed the Lincoln Memorial on Monday after finding suspicious bottles in a restroom and a note reading "Do you know what anthrax is?" and "Do you know what a bomb is?", a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.
Authorities found a bottle appearing to contain a liquid in a basement ladies' rest room, along with the note, said an official from the Department of Homeland Security who asked to not be identified because his agency was not in charge of the incident.
While investigating the liquid, authorities received a call about a suspicious package, District of Columbia fire spokesman Alan Etter said. No injuries were reported."

U.S. F-16 Crashes Near Baghdad; Forces Capture, Kill Terrorists
American Forces Press Service
WASHINGTON, Nov. 27, 2006 A U.S. Air Force F-16 engaged in support of coalition ground combat operations crashed about 20 miles northwest of Baghdad today, and coalition and Iraqi forces killed two terrorists and detained 10 in separate operations Nov. 25 and yesterday, military officials reported.
The crash occurred at about 1:35 p.m. Iraq Time with one pilot on board. A board will be convened to investigate the incident, officials said. By mid-afternoon Eastern Time, officials had not released any information on the fate of the F-16 pilot.
In Ramadi, coalition forces conducted a precision strike on insurgent forces after observing three men loading weapons from a known cache site into a vehicle yesterday.
After establishing positive identification, coalition forces fired precision ordnance at the vehicle, killing two terrorists. One terrorist was seen fleeing from the scene.
Elsewhere, soldiers of the 4th Battalion, 4th Brigade, 6th Iraqi Army Division, and Company D, 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, detained 10 terrorist suspects and found a cache of improvised explosive device components near Taqa, a village on the banks of the Euphrates River southwest of Yusufiyah on Nov. 25.
The 10 Iraqi males were caught attempting to place roadside bombs along a route the U.S. forces were traveling. Upon questioning, the group identified a cache site. The cache contained two pressure plates, three portable phones, four six-foot bundles of wire and a 300-foot roll of copper wire.
The cache and detainees were seized as part of Operation Polar Black Diamond, a combined air assault into the former al Qaeda sanctuary about 20 miles southwest of Baghdad.
In another operation, Iraqi army and coalition forces were dispatched to the scene of an oil pipeline fire just north of Mahmudiyah this morning and secured the area.
The Iraqi army and coalition forces are at the site and will remain there to provide security and to prevent further injury or damage, officials said. Iraqi emergency responders are working to contain the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation, officials said.

Two Frenchmen expelled from Syria under investigation for suspected terrorist links
AP ^ | November 25, 2006

PARIS: An anti-terrorist judge put two Frenchmen under investigation Saturday for suspected links to terrorism after they were arrested in Syria on their way to Iraq, judicial officials said.
The two men traveled to Syria in October and were allegedly planning to continue to Iraq, but were arrested by Syrian authorities who suspected them of terrorist connections, according to French judicial officials.
The men were deported from Syria to France on Tuesday, and immediately detained by French intelligence agents. An anti-terrorist judge put them under investigation a step short of formal charges on Saturday, according to a justice official who was not authorized to give his name.

Two men charged in fraudulent document scheme
MIAMI- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Special Agent-in-Charge Jesus Torres and R. Alexander Acosta, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, announced that two men were arrested here on Nov. 14 by ICE special agents for manufacturing and selling fraudulent employment authorization documents and fraudulent Social Security cards.
Gino Hans Suarez, 32, a native of Peru and naturalized United States citizen and David Jorge Monje, 31, of Argentina, were charged via criminal complaint for their alleged involvement in a document fraud scheme.
Both men had their initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Edwin Torres on Wednesday, Nov. 15. If convicted, they face up to 25 years imprisonment.
Monje entered the country on Feb. 20, 2002 under the Visa Waiver Program, under which citizens of selected countries -- including Argentina -- are allowed to enter the United States using a passport in lieu of a non-immigrant visa.
Under the program, Monje was given until May 20, 2002 to depart from the United States but he opted to remain in the country and break the law. Upon the completion of his criminal charges, Monje will be expeditiously removed from the country back to Argentina.
The public is reminded that a criminal complaint and/or indictment contain only charges and are not evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent and are entitled to a fair trial and the government has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Assistant United States Attorney Benton Curtis is handling the prosecution of the case.
Torres thanked the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office for their assistance with the investigation.

U.S. Embassy Asks Bush Twins to Leave Country
Amid a growing barrage of front-page headlines, U.S. embassy officials "strongly suggested" President Bush's twin daughters, Jenna and Barbara Bush, cut short their trip to Buenos Aires because of security issues, U.S. diplomatic and security sources tell ABC News.
But the girls have stayed on, celebrating their 25th birthday over the weekend and producing even more headlines about their activities.
Officials say the media coverage upstaged publicity plans for the new U.S. Ambassador Anthony Wayne, who had only recently arrived in the country.
