In case unaware, Kerry does not exist in a vacuum.

Kerry was the Democrat's 2004 Presidential nominee. He is a veteran Senator. His comments have been supported and echoed by other Democrats in past. This re-inforces the perception the Democrat party does not value our military. He has been appearing with Democratic challengers. Today for Cantwell. Tomorrow supposedly for Stabenow and Casey.

What Kerry says and does resonates and affects other Democrats. Period.

That's why Colmes was melting down today and Democrats everywhere today aside from Ted Kennedy are in hiding. Kerry didn't take one for the team. He isn't a team player, never has been and never will be. He wants to be President in '08 and thought this would advance his opportunity, and if it came at expense of the Democrats fooling voters for one election cycle so be it. Unfortunately for him, it is not only hurting his party but his prospects, dim as they were, for '08.

Kerry's back-stab of Vietnam soldiers years ago shows he has no honor.

This latest incident shows he has no friggin' clue as well.

Santorum is a much better candidate than Casey, there's no comparison really. It's the people in PA who have to stop listening to their stupid, MSM and actually engage their brains to make the right choice. Santorum has gotten crucified in the press in PA.

The problem for them, though, is that Kerry isn't the only one that has said things like this. And Republicans have footage of a lot of their candidates with John Kerry, with Durbin, With Teddy with all the troops bashers.

The Republicans should make a campaign commercial with a montage of all that footage, and end it with something like, "Do we really want Democrats in power while our nation is at war?"

O'Reilly is on stating that he doesn't believe Kerry meant to insult our troops. I'm sorry, I listened to his comments and can find no other meaning but an insult towards our troops fighting in Iraq right now, and that includes my son, my nephew, and my brother-in-law's niece.

O'Reilly's demoncRat guest just commented that we need to bring back the draft. These Dims are willing to do anything to try to win back Congress.

It's an issue the Dems can't just ignore or they look like they're defending him just because it's election season. Chris Matthews' defense was pathetic, so I'm sure they're all burning the midnight oil trying to come up with a way to spin it so it's somehow Bush's fault. But the American public, even those who don't like Bush, don't like comments like this.

Foley played out too early; this is going to last just long enough to be in the minds of voters on election day, I think.
