Regardless of what Kerry was trying to say, his remark came off as an insult to people in the service. He should make it clear that was not his intent by offering an apology.

Many on here seem to be going along with the latest hype, that it was meant to insult Pres. Bush. I do not buy it. He is a pompous a$$ and he feels superior to those serving in the military, he went in as an officer. He felt that way then too, that he was better and he managed to leave the war zone immediately. What he said cannot be taken lightly, it represents the way Clinton and others have felt about our troops, and Hillary treated them terribly when they served them in the White House. Let's not be fooled by the excuses made for Kerry. It took them hours to come up with them, and they are as contrived as his entire life has been.

Thank you Karl Rove. My sources say that Karl Rove was seen in the basement of the Hall of Presidents at Disney world Monday morning. Rove confiscated the automatron of failed presidential candidate John Kerry, programmed it and sent it off to Pasadena to say something stupid to provide us with our October surprise.

I guess the assumption is that whatever Kerry says, it's directed against Bush, that there's a partisan barb in any comment he makes.
It's the all-purpose out that politicians use when they put their foot in their mouth.
But you have to look at what Kerry actually said. It would be really hard to get an anti-Bush jab out of what Kerry said.
Probably this spells the end of Kerry's hopes for the Presidency.

Know what Chris? We don't care what you think! Whether Kerry's statements were what he feels (that nasty old Freudian thing) or was a botched joke ... well, he said and he has offended military members and their families and it is being proven by the numerous polls being conducted. Military families are mad and they are mad at John Kerry.

Even if you buy that ridiculous explanation. First off, the audience clapped at what he said. That in and of itself is disasterous. Secondly, if he's implying the President is STUPID, Education deprived, all we have to do is resurrect both of their grades. HE IS SO STUPID. I believe it was ad-libbed by a politician who should NEVER AD LIB. He's just too...well... too stupid!
