The MSM troops have begun to rally around their man.
Interviewing Ted Kennedy on MSNBC, Chris Matthews referred to the controversy over Kerry's comments as a 'brouhaha' and a 'rhubarb. Kennedy was of course only too happy to agree, calling the controversy a "diversion" and even casting Kerry as the victim, claiming he is the "target of Republicans" reacting to his criticism of the war.
A bit later in the hour, Matthews flatly claimed that Kerry only meant to say that Bush hadn't studied enough before he became president and thus got us into a mess in Iraq, and later still:
"I think he meant to go after the President."
To quote that great student of human behavior, John McEnroe: "you cannot be serious!"
Do you get paid to watch Matthews?
Many on here seem to be going along with the latest hype, that it was meant to insult Pres. Bush. I do not buy it. He is a pompous a$$ and he feels superior to those serving in the military, he went in as an officer. He felt that way then too, that he was better and he managed to leave the war zone immediately. What he said cannot be taken lightly, it represents the way Clinton and others have felt about our troops, and Hillary treated them terribly when they served them in the White House. Let's not be fooled by the excuses made for Kerry. It took them hours to come up with them, and they are as contrived as his entire life has been.
I don't think Matthews made any mention of John McCain's statement.
Near death experience with rooster tush.
Did he mean to say that our brave fighters in Iraq are in fact terrorizing women and children? Did he mean it when he talked about servicemen hooking up electrodes to the genitals of Vietcong prisoners, chopping off their ears, raping and pillaging, reminiscent of JENJIS KAHN, etc.? What pattern of behavior leads you to believe that he DIDN'T intend to insult and demean those who volunteer to serve? He obviously holds the military in very low regard. I think it's very clear what he meant. No amount of "spin" from the Kerry camp will sweep this under the rug.
Thank you Karl Rove. My sources say that Karl Rove was seen in the basement of the Hall of Presidents at Disney world Monday morning. Rove confiscated the automatron of failed presidential candidate John Kerry, programmed it and sent it off to Pasadena to say something stupid to provide us with our October surprise.
Hey, I didn't say he wasn't a jerk. Kerry is a well known jerk.
I saw it first yesterday afternoon
The Dems don't care about the troops. I think that is pretty obvious.
It's the all-purpose out that politicians use when they put their foot in their mouth.
But you have to look at what Kerry actually said. It would be really hard to get an anti-Bush jab out of what Kerry said.
Probably this spells the end of Kerry's hopes for the Presidency.
That's a GREAT idea! Like when Sean Hannity would read to unsuspecting liberal guests what "The President" first said when announcing the new policy of the United States regarding Iraq. He would read about how "The President" said the USA was going to seek "regime change" in Iraq due to Saddam's possession of WMDs. He then would let the guest spew about how Bush was a liar or stupid for the policy, and then reveals that "The President" that said those things was Clinton. He nailed Charles Rangel on that a couple of years ago. It was a thing of beauty.
At least we can agree on something.
That's the only logical explanation. ;)
ROFL! Another good one, monk!
Please give me a break, Chrissy! All Democraps including you, have brains not quite as large as tender young peas.
LOL, big time!
He made excellent grades in "who could spit the fartherest?"
Chris Matthews is a despicable little punk.
:-)
