Thank you so much for pinging me or I would have surely missed it, and that rant is definitely NOT TO BE MISSED!!!
Traitors is right.
My husband said that the military men and women are so disciplined and moral and patriotic that it's no wonder the Democrats hate them. The military represents everything the Democrats are not.
I saw that
My local radio still thinks Kerry will be in town tomorrow .. planning something for around 5pm tomorrow evening
Another fine campaign slogan! Maybe Jimmy will be so heartbroken when Fidel dies he won't be able to commment.
Such a lovely thought........
My pleasure, sugarbowl!
He is exactly right. The military represent the BEST of America, and the left, the bottom dwellers. That is exactly why the left resents our incredible, disciplined, INTELLIGENT military.
LOL. How 'bout Sharks/Snakes for Pres? Oh, wait, never mind.
MoJo, could you save Post #1199 for Mr. Tonkin when he is a bit stronger. I am sure he would enjoy QLA's fine post on our mutually disrespected SINator.
sorry...it turns out that wasn't testimony.
nobody was sworn in.
oops, er........not that slogan.......my opponent made me say it!
I saw that link and thought it was only for his constituents. I hope I don't break my fingers in my rush to get on the site. : )
I don't understand Armey. Even if you believe Kerry didn't mean to insult the troops, that leaves us with two absolute truths:
1) He claims he wanted to take a cheap, false shot at the President during a war, simply to rally a political crowd for an election. His claim is that he messed up a "joke" that Bush was an idiot who got us "stuck" in Iraq. Does Kerry think its FUNNY that our troops are being killed in Iraq?
2) His WORDS, what he actually SAID, were definitely offensive and insulting to our troops. Even if he didn't MEAN to say it, he DID say it. He should apologize for what he SAID, because what he SAID was that stupid people end up fighting in Iraq. When you mis-speak, and are called out for it, the RIGHT thing to do is to thank your accusers for pointing out your error, and apologize and explan the error. Instead, Kerry, having MISSPOKEN and insulted the troops, then chooses to make cheap personal attacks against those who took his words at FACE VALUE.
The Republicans didn't make up a SINGLE WORD of what Kerry said. Kerry claims he mis-spoke, which admits that the words he spoke were bad. Any decent person would apologize.
If I wanted to call you a great american, and instead I said you were unamerican, I would apologize if you yelled at me, not call you "doughy" or a "stuffed suit".
kind of like a "botched joke"?
He said what he said.....sworn in or not.
O'Reilly doesn't believe Kerry meant to insult the troops.....it must be blissful living in denial.
It isn't okay that he was just making a lame joke about the President, what he said was totally inappropriate toward our troops and our CIC if it was aimed at the President.
October Surprise? Someone posted it was a true ROVEmber surprise!
I agree. Even if he is telling the truth, and he simply misspoke, that is HIS fault, it was his MISSPOKEN words which hurt the troops, and he should apologize for what he SAID, even if he didn't MEAN to say it.
Even people who are sure Kerry would never purposely insult the troops have to admit that what he SAID insulted the troops, and he needs to apologize. All that Bush called for Kerry to do was to APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT HE SAID.
Kerry, instead of apologizing, starting childish name-calling.
That is NOT obvious from the words Kerry said, either READING the words, or listening to him SAY the words.
A lot of democrats have claimed that only poor, uneducated people serve in our military. Rangel used that excuse to call for a draft so republican kids had to go to war.
But EVEN if you believe Kerry simply mis-spoke, he should APOLOGIZE for what he said, because what he SAID insulted the troops, even if he didn't mean to.
If I accidentally say something offensive to you, the response is for me to apologize, not blame you for not understanding what I MEANT to say.
Instead, Kerry launched a tirade of childish insults at Bush, Tony Snow, and the republicans. And he refuses to apologize for the words he ACTUALLY used, even though he admits that they were BAD WORDS.
Someone should point out to Steve MacMahon that when you mess up a joke and end up insulting ever serviceperson in Iraq, you need to APOLOGIZE for messing up your joke, not refuse to apologize and call the people who pointed out your mistake childish names.
Let's go, GOP! It's your ball game now.
