Also Kerry need not apologize when people are spinning his words into an offensive comment against the troops. Again, his words, not mine, not anyone else's. He said it, he meant it, and your trying to convince anyone otherwise is just as bad as his paid hacks in the media doing the same thing.
Words mean things.

Matthews was saying that Kerry was making that statement about Bush, not the troops.
He had a conservative leaning guy on there trying to get Matthews to understand it did diss the the troops, so Matthews read the statement 3 TIMES to make it clear.
Army agreed with Matthews.

Anne is really better in print, where she has the time to construct her word bombs on the dems....lol. But I love it when she is on TV too.

"I've looked at Kerry's words every way possible, and it's a stretch in my view to say for sure that he meant the president. If that's what he meant, then he's really lousy with words..."
Agreed! He's a dimwit. But this isn't first degree or even second degree attacking the troops. He meant Bush. He was (foolishly) joking about Bush's intelligence, hoping his audience wasn't aware of his own sad academic record.

I am dumb -- I'm watching a different speech!! He had a different color shirt on for the last one! Good speech anyway. Time to go listen to Mark...

I know that's what he meant Umm, no, you don't know that. Context included, in all fairness, Kerry just dumped a stinky load of hot crap into the Dems' Hallowe'en bucket.
Don't wanna be eatin' THAT candy!

Good job by Fox. They inserted actual Kerry video into President Bush's comments.

Armey is a Whitman "Republican".
Ignore him.
I don't care what he did in past, Goldwater is no friend to Republicans OR conservatives in his latter years. Armey has become Goldwater with age.

Apparently, the rest of us are blinded by our fluency in the English language.
To: dangerfield
Where was he referring to Bush in his statements? Please provide the context which reveals this.

He was a good businessman. If you know you're the Alpha Guy, your opponent just serves to keep you sharp.
In this instance: Keep the story alive and maybe your opponent will say something even stupider and give you yet another chance to show why you're boss.

You were there for Kerry's speech? Do you have a transcript for Kerry's entire speech to the youth?
