You are a Dem or an idiot. Go listen to Kerry's statement in You Tube. If you come away with the same stupid comments, then you need to call Belltone and get your hearing aid adjusted.
Pres. Bush took OUT the part about the troops being "patriots" and that is a GOOD thing...otherwise all we would have heard was that he called the dems "unpatriotic"....like they have been saying for 5 years.

I didn't think of Bush when I heard Kerry say it. I thought he was saying the troops were uneducated and signed up because they weren't smart.

I've looked at Kerry's words every way possible, and it's a stretch in my view to say for sure that he meant the president. If that's what he meant, then he's really lousy with words... and he says Bush is the dumb one?
Best speech I've seen from him since the one he gave in Manchester, NH in October of 2002. I was sitting right behind him. He has the ability to connect personally with an audience, as he did that morning. I sincerely wish he would make better use of it, as the stakes have grown larger over time.

It was sort of directed at Bush, but not entirely - remember, W's grades were higher than Kerry's, and I doubt that Kerry really wants to go through that whole thing again. I think it was a swipe at the troops, simply because that's the elitist Dem mentality, and it just stumbled off of Kerry's extremely stumble-prone tongue. T
Toughskies, and Bush is right to seize on this, because if my son (now ex-military) were in Iraq now, I'd be infuriated and ready to strangle Kerry with my bare hands.
