INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 31 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The National Commander of The American Legion called on Sen. John Kerry to apologize for suggesting that American troops in Iraq are uneducated.
"As a constituent of Senator Kerry's I am disappointed. As leader of The American Legion, I am outraged," said National Commander Paul A. Morin. "A generation ago, Sen. Kerry slandered his comrades in Vietnam by saying that they were rapists and murderers. It wasn't true then and his warped view of today's heroes isn't true now."
While addressing a group of college students at a campaign rally in Pasadena, CA., Monday, Kerry suggested that they receive an education or "if you don't, you'll get stuck in Iraq."
"While The American Legion shares the senator's appreciation for education, the troops in Iraq represent the most sophisticated, technologically superior military that the world has ever seen," Morin said. "I think there is a thing or two that they could teach most college professors and campus elitists about the way the world works.

Now that is one UGLY man!
The American Legion strikes again.
No, most, if not all, of them are in heaven.
One need only visit that memorial - to feel their presence and hear their perpetually young voices.

So, who brought the marshmallows? :)
Hell get the popcorn. This is entertaining!

Excellent point. But maybe they'll conduct a raid on the lower regions. I can think of a couple, both Marines and FReepers, that might lead the mission. :)
Democrats like Kerry NEVER apologize. That is th e liberal democrat way.
Can anyone imagine this man being Commander and Chief? Here we have sworn enemies who have already attacked us and have sworn to do it again and this guy thinks he can be president? It only goes to show the dems are demented!
I'll bump to that!
Time for the Swifty guys to film a commerical.
OUCH! That's gotta hurt Lurch! But he deserves it!
A voice of reason!
LOL! :)
Close to 200,000 Americans are already calling for him to be tried for treason. I doubt these things mean anything, but Freepers could leave some scathing commentary on this site, I'm sure:

Gee that's funny. I did pretty well in school, graduated with my Bachelor's degree, Magna Cum Laude. I then went on to serve 6 years in the US Army. My hubby's served for 11 years and graduated with honors from Georgetown University with his master's degree.
Yep. We sure didn't study hard. Must be a couple of dumb@sses to get stuck in the military. No other options. Hubby must be even more stupid than me, because he's been to Iraq.
If Kerry doesn't think that the troops are taking offense---WE ARE. Just because he is a veteran himself, doesn't insulate him from criticism. An apology would be useless at this point. He had his chance to apologize and he refused to.
