Cheney touched off the war of words when he said that Rangel - who is set to become chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee if the Democrats win the House in the upcoming elections – wouldn't continue "a single one" of President Bush's tax cuts.

"I think that would be bad for the economy," Cheney told CNBC News. "I don't know if the stock market would like it."
He then said on the Fox News Channel: "Charlie doesn't understand how the economy works . . .
"So if a man like Charlie Rangel were to be chairman of the committee, and sitting there with the gavel, all he has to do is not act, just don't call up the legislation, and there'll be a big tax increase.”
When contacted by the New York Post, Rangel fired back: "He's such a real son of a bitch, he just enjoys a confrontation.”

Rangel says that Cheney enjoys confrontation. Confronting evil is a good thing. We don't have nearly enough of it.
Rangel and Kerry both with potty mouth, they too have seen the real numbers and are scared. It is sad that these men are part of the leadership in this great country.

Yes, here's the fine gentleman legislator that Americans seem to want to hand over the reigns of the Ways and Means Committee to. Could you imagine the uproar if a Republican in line to chair Ways and Means referred to a Democratic V.P. as being an SOB? What if a Republican Congressman had called Al Gore an SOB? We just let this stuff roll off our backs too much. We should be raising a stink over this and force the Clown Car Media to pay it some attention, at least half as much as they'd give if a Republican said this about a Democratic V.P.
Rove isn't going to be happy when his media-moniters bring this to his attention. You'd better take it back right now! ;-)
