I understand and appreciate your struggle to follow Christ's teachings. I don't have that struggle. I gave that struggle up at my first sight of a mass grave in 1998. I do not need to hate the islamofascists, but I will never forgive them, that is our God's job in my view. I am deploying in a few months to Iraq. I am taking my fathers Combat Bible from Vietnam with me and my cross on my dog-tags.

I've struggled with that also, but I've come to this realization: one should not be stirred to anger against an enemy on their own behalf, because it only breeds vengeance and hatred - which fogs reason and logic and defies discipline required of a disciple. HOWEVER, one can and must seek justice and may rightly intercede on behalf of another who's been or is being wrongly treated. One may do so while remaining biblically principled. (Romans Ch.13)

How can you bring peace and democracy to a people whose very religion is the foundation that has prevented both?
