Tonight's "John Ziegler Show" on KFI 640AM in Southern CA played a clip from Senator John F Kerry's appearance at Pasadena City College with candidate Phil Angelides, Democrat for CA governor.
At the event, Kerry had this to say about our brave military volunteers:
"You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq." Kerry is so ill informed about today's volunteer military he doesn't even know that at least a high school diploma is now REQUIRED to get in.
I hope the military everywhere hears this ignorant insult.
By the way, ha anyone heard - or keeping track of - the militarys ability to vote this time? Florida and Rendell in PA are notorious for suppressing the military vote with one shenanigan or another

Once more, we have the satisfaction of a well-exhibited truth.
This was unattainable not even 10 years ago.

Advise your son to tell his buddy on top of the vehicle to lose the blank adaptor. He may need to use his weapon.

thanks for the link: = video
We need to FREEP Rush, FOX etc, - this has to get big time play - every military man & woman and family will CRAWL to the polls if they have to, to vote. This could turn out our voters like nothing else.
http://hotair.com/archives/2006/10/30/audio-john-kerry-on-americas-lazy-uneducated-military/
Remember the rule of thumb for media to run a story: at least 40-45 emails about it. We need to FREEP Rush, Fox et al. We need to get back on this tomorrow - has someone got the video archived? - when there'll be some more Freepers -
This needs to also get to some campaign outfit that will run it an campaign ad - like "This is what John Kerry thinks of our troops." - be great with some of the troops or family giving their education.
Kerry is so ignorant he doesn't even know that today's entrance requirements for our military is at least a high school diploma...and he needs to be reminded that this is a VOLUNTEER military...

Without the audio of the whole speech, I cant tell if the comments were later qualified, retracted, embellished, etc. So lets just go ahead and assume that Kerry caught himself the moment this left his lips and immediately disavowed/clarified it. Okay? Full benefit of the doubt here. He said it - on tape - run it and let HIM explain himself....we, our troops and their families deserve no less! Good grief!

John Kerry simply does not have the character to be Commander in Chief. He doesn't have the character to be a dog catcher - nor the right.
He committed treason while in uniform - met secretly with the cong leadership in Paris = 3 x's.
According to our Constitution, this makes him a traitor - subject to incarceration - and NEVER eligible for elected office...(Carter and Kennedy got him off)

Whittier Daily News article by staffer Cortney Felding mentions it almost in passed with their coverage of the event and never says Kerry clarified or retracted or anything of the kind. It did say he got "a mixture of laughter and gasps."
Here's an excerpt:
Kerry charmed the crowd with tales of surfing at Mission Beach and got laughs for a series of one liners, including telling the crowd he had just returned from Texas, "Where the president used to live - now he lives in a state of denial."
Kerry then told the students that if they were able to navigate the education system, they could get comfortable jobs - "If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq," he said to a mixture of laughter and gasps.
With a week left until the Nov. 7 election, the stop was just part of a whirlwind stumping tour for Angelides, as he tries to close in on Schwarzenegger. Some polls put the governor 18 points ahead.

This could turn out our voters like nothing else. How sad is that? We are so "used" to the privilege of actually having a say in our government, that we just "pass", like it means nothing.

Out of context, you ask? See
post 175, this thread for a newspaper story which says he got a "mixture of laughter and gasps" at the statement.
It seems there is no "context" other than Kerry being a world-class jerk.

Geez, I have graduate degrees, and I was stuck overseas in Gulf War I. The Stanford M.D. who is the top clinical ortho spine researcher in the U.S. was stuck twice in Iraq & Afghanistan for 22 months total. Maybe more community college credits were needed to avoid this awful fate.

This clip will air repeatedly tomorrow on Rush and Hannity. Count on it. I think Michael Savage will have a lot of fun with this too. He really doesn't like Kerry.
