Democrat Slowdown Signs -- Except at CNN (CNN planning anti GOP blitz last days of election)

Washington Prowler Democrat Slowdown Signs -- Except at CNN WOLF DEMOCRATS Lots of headscratching was going on Friday evening and over the weekend about the decision by CNN producers and uberanchor Wolf Blitzer to blindside former colleague (she hosted "CNN Crossfire" back in the day) Lynn Cheney. Aside from using questions culled from talking points on the Jim Webb scandal provided to a CNN associate producer by the Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee, Blitzer, -- without checking out the veracity of the talking points -- quizzed Cheney about the techniques used against suspected terrorists and her views on the Bush Administration. Cheney had been invited to discuss her new children's book, but came prepared to battle Blitzer, and more than held her own. Why was Blitzer so aggressive? "It was all about ratings, and the fact that we have this series of specials called 'Where the Right Went Wrong' running on the network," says the CNN insider. Part of that series ran later Friday evening after Cheney's emasculation of Blitzer (video here). In fact, CNN producers, with the approval of more senior executives, intend to run the highly politicized, pro-Democrat Party "Where the Right Went Wrong" in the days leading into Election Day. The series uses original reporting, as well as materials, including statistics and research developed by the DNC, MoveOn.org and the labor-funded 527, Americans Coming Together, though the those sources are never mentioned in the segments. "There are people who are wondering why this is being run so close to election day," says the CNN employee. "The questions have been asked, but we haven't gotten a satisfactory answer. But as soon as we saw the Cheney segment, we knew what they were trying to do. It wasn't just about attacking Cheney.

Maybe the signs of the dem slowdown is because the pollsters have to become more realistic in their polls or nobody will use them anymore. The closer we get to the election the closer the polls will get.

And .. reality will set in .. the dems are not running away with this election, quite the contrary, they are STILL LOSING!!

Holy cr*p that is blantant, beyond blatant, electioneering ... cant that be held to be a campaign finance law violation?

Seriously, I am for the first amendment, but if a GOP group set up shop and spent millions producing material that they sent to viewers, that blatantly gave support to one party and opposition to the other, it would be called an 'independent' expenditure for campaigns and be subject to McCain-Feingold limits!

I agree.

I hate to tell you that I'm shocked - but if this is true, CNN has sunk to a new all-time partisan low in their reporting and it does shock me.

We've always suspected or known of their bias - but this comes as close as any to proving that they are an appendage of the Left in America.

This is detestable in every sense of the word.

Lynne Cheney stole Wolf's lunch money, gave him a wedgie and cut the elastic out of his underpants. Why the heck CNN keeps repeating that segment, I do not know.

I just wrote Mr. Blitzer to thank him for the interview with Mrs. Cheney. I was not only pulling the lever for one party (R) I was pulling the lever against him and the media. A vote for the Republicans mean many different things to me this year. One being against the media.

Remember how the Swift boat show wasn't allowed to be aired before the election. It's just a farce now.

I agree. Ted Turner is not headed for heaven as it stands right now. He does need prayer.

By the way, I watched Wolf Blitzer on CNN tonight. Lynn Cheney really got to him by hitting back. She released a statement saying all CNN is doing is "repeating Democrat National Committee talking points."

Wolf was very upset, and nervously said on the air that CNN does not take sides.

(I'll pause now and give you all a chance to stop laughing.........)

..................................................................................................................
........................................................

OK. Then CNN talked about how bleak the elections looks for Republicans, then they did a segment about how Americans are turning against the war, and then they did a segment about how great some Democrat candidates are.

I am not joking.
