He was on FNC today and Brian Wilson all but said as much when Hunter was on the show. I don't know much about him. If he's a true less government conservative, that would be a good start.
April 28, 2004. The sentiments of this Vietnam veteran, stopped in front of the Republican National Committee headquarters, are clear. When not riding his motorcyle with his furry friend, he helps Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) with events.
Rep. Duncan Hunter, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, is escorted by Commander of Troops Col. Robert Pricone, U.S. Army, as he inspects the joint services honor guard at the Pentagon during the National POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony on Sept. 16, 2005. Hunter, a Vietnam veteran, was the guest speaker for the event co-hosted by Acting Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard B. Myers, U.S. Air Force. The ceremony was attended by many veterans of earlier wars and by representatives of all the nation's veteran service organizations
Mr Hunter has impressed me on TV and on the House floor. He seems a bread and butter conservative who would go to the top on my list and would consider becoming one of his pioneers. If national security is a central issue in 08 I think that he can beat Hillary, Obama or Edwards
He is.
He is 100% GENUINE AMERICAN.
Up until I moved in June 2006, he was my Congressman.
Always answered letter or questions.
Always busted his butt for his constituents.
He is for America, not Mexico, and he does not appease anyone!
Help me out. When's the last time a House Rep was elected prez?
He is a great Congressman and I have long hoped that he would challenge Boxer or Fineswine for Senator but President would be even better....Go Duncan Hunter!!!I would work on his campaign in a heartbeat..
Great! We need folks like him in the primaries in '08!
My guess is never.
I can tell you that he is better than anyone who has been mentioned so far. I hope he can get a high enough profile to get traction.
Interesting.
It was either Garfield or Grover Cleveland, I always mix up those two.
I'd love it if Duncan Hunter runs. He's impressed me from the get-go. And as the MSM has managed to damage Allen so badly, we need another viable choice. Hunter would be a good one.
Duncan Hunter is a quality person and congressman.
He has more experience including on real world issues.
Also being a VN Vet. and his son a Marine says a lot.
best name I've heard so far and only an inch ahead of Newt
I don't know I don't like what we have so far for 2008... Allen?... No. We need people
Yep --- he was my congressman several years ago and I met him in person more than a couple of times. He is a patriot in every sense of the word.
Thanks for the ping.
This is a person I could support 100%!
