I've always known there was something wrong with Michael Savage's schtick. It's intolerable. He talks like an absolute madman. He is just about as intemperate as you can get and still be on the radio.
Now I know what was wrong. The whole thing is a put-on:
Supporting a candidate out of your own wallet may be the most accurate gauge of what a donor believes in his heart. So it should come as a shock to fans to learn where their hero distributes his own political gifts. Which are not ungenerous. Just ask Jerry Brown, the decidedly liberal candidate (pro-abortion, pro-gun control, etc.) for California attorney general.
As the San Francisco Chronicle reports, Savage is a top contributor to Brown's campaign against conservative state senator Chuck Poochigian. His gift of $5,600, the maximum allowable under state law, was merited, Savage told the Chronicle after being outed. Why? Because "You have to make choices in an imperfect world."
RIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGHHHTTTTT.

Then secure the borders. That will go a long way in keeping us safe as well.
Sure it makes sense. It's ok for Bush and the GOP to support a liberal democrat, but not ok for Savage to give to a liberal democrat.
I can learn things from all kinds of people. Talk show hosts, columnists, authors, friends, the next door neighbor, FReepers. It's not demeaning to me that people know things I don't. I'm sure I know a couple of things that other people don't. And not all spin is created equal.
Cite one example please.
here's one: Bush and the GOP support of a liberal democrat and not the GOP contender?
Is it about power or principal?
He has issues ...
I enjoy the Savage show. He appears to be genuine and committed to true conservative goals.
So rightward spin is OK?
Michael Moore would be fine if he were on our side?
Do you know how Nazi Germany got to be what it was?
Oh, my..
I can take about 5 minutes of Savage. BTW, what's his beef with other conservative talk show hosts?
Note that the drivebys no longer complain about him. . . now that they know he's on their side. I never could stand him and am not a bit surprised; liberals scream, yell and are rude so he fits in perfectly.
You misread the question.
Bush and the GOP trick conservatives
Please show the "trick".
If Michael Moore supported the conservative agenda I would like him but he wouldn't be Michael Moore then. He's loathesome because he's a leftist and hateful and a liar. The conservatives are good about not promoting radicals. The Dem foundation is based on radicals. I wouldn't support a conservative that's a Jew hater for instance and neither would most conservatives.
He is jealous...
. . . and soon I plan to come out of the closet along with all my buddy monitors and admit we are all Michael Savage weeners too!
A one, two, three, four, altogether now.....
'Ohhhhh, I wish I were a Michael Savage Weener . . . '
;>
That is the trick. Let me give you another one.
The Border Fence Bill bill was not fully funded. A lot of people here got real excited. Instead of fully funding it while the GOP had the chance and could have fully funded it and been done with it.
They passed a bill that did not fully fund it, and if the democrats take over congress, will never be fully funded and as a result never built
You certainly implied that he is for supporting Brown.
I'm irate that he pounds Sean/Rush/OReilly/Laura, Bush/Condi/Rummy, other GOPers more than he does the libs, and he's SUPPOSED to be on our side, as a "conservative".
OK, this is what really gets to you. Savage has the audacity to criticize other "conservative" talk show hosts and the Republican leadership.
I wish Savage would spend less time mocking other talk show hosts (except for the idiots over at Err America) . Sometimes it is funny, but it gets old and seems juvenile. Not that he is only one who does it. Mark Levin, for example, mocks Savage and the "Weiner Nation" quite a bit. On most of the major issues (GWOT, immigration, appointments to the SCOTUS, etc.) the conservative talk show hosts, Savage included, are in agreement. But these guys and gals have big ego's so they attack each other sometimes. Rush is an exception and I admire the fact that he doesn't engage in that nonsense.
Savage's criticism of members of the Bush administration and other Republicans leaders is another matter. I would dispute your assertion that Savage attacks the Republicans MORE than he attacks the libs/Democrats. He is scathing in his attacks on the liberals and attacks them more then he attacks the Republicans IMO. But I would concede that he spends a substantial amount time criticizing the Bush Administration. I don't agree with him all the time, but sometimes I do and I'm glad that there are hosts like Savage who don't march in lockstep with the Administration on every issue. For example, I'm glad Savage and some other hosts have criticized the Bush Administration for not doing enough to secure our borders. Prominent talk show hosts such as Rush and Savage were instrumental in generating opposition to the Administration's plan for granting amnesty to illegal aliens. Frankly, I think Rove and Bush made a huge mistake by not making border security a high priority years ago. If they had the control of Congress would not be in play right now IMO.
In speaking with some of my pals about Repubs and support of Minimum Wage Hike in CA, I learned from them this was more in support of illegals to be champing at the bit to come out of the shadows (landscaping, prostitution, etc.). Conservative areas of CA will be slower at implementing this policy; but the liberal zones will hop right on it, thereby destroying the golden goose of business in their own districts and forcing liberals to have to find the money in their budgets to fill the gap created by minimum wage -- thereby preventing them from implementing more of their socialist agenda items.
Sometimes it takes a country bumpkin to cut through these complex issues. ;-)
