Racist ad?

On tonight's SR, Mort Kondrake was asked to comment on the Tennessee satirical ad showing a buxom blond commenting about making Ford.
Kondrake said that showing a Black Man with a White Woman was racist.
My gawd, many Black men in sports and politics seem to have white companions. What am I disunderstanding?
I think the as is accurate and hard hitting (biting) satire.
Kondrake is an idiot. His comment is racist.

Are we talking about Kondracke here or the President?

Don't you know the South is still a racist hive just like in the 1960's and then of coarse this is racist. I mean if you believe Southerners are just all racist I mean at least the white bread ones. There is no racism beyond the Mason Dixon line and there has never been. Don't you know that. Why this shows a Black Man with a White Blonde woman and that is just going to get the KKK hoods back out. Even though the KKK was real big up there above that line. Even though up there all cities are places of pure diversity with no signs of segregation. Why have you been inside DC, Detroit, Cincinatti, Philadelphia and seem all the harmony.

That's right. But the posters point, I believe, is that because it's accepted now, it's bizarre to say it's racist. And maybe I'm wrong but I think Ford has been linked to many white women. Nothing wrong with that. But if he often dates white women, then no one should complain if the ad used a white actress. Could some stone cold bigot be angry that Ford dates white women? Yup. But Mort's wrong to imply and anyone else is too that Tennessee is full of white bigots, or that the ad was meant to appeal to that sentiment. That too is an ugly stereotype.

Google Vera Ford and you will come up with a piece by Thaddeous Matthews that has a good picture of her.

Kondrake said that showing a Black Man with a White Woman was racist.Maybe PC has gotten us 360°s!
Mort was saying that they did that to appeal to the "knuckledraggers" that are offended by mixed couples.
Pretty convoluted logic. I think it's proof positive that there is no discrimination anymore, except that a black dancer at Duke is beyond reproach and a "buxom blonde" is a slutty harlot.

This ad is great, the woman is only a tiny part of it, and I can only make 2 conclusions about people who think it's racist:
- Either they have hangups about interracial couples themselves or
- They're looking for the atom bomb of racism and now they're desperate to find something on Corker that they can tag as "racist".

But you have to remember that the gloves didn't fit.....
Seriously, the black females wouldn't vote for the white guy, but they may be less-inclined to bother to vote.

It's not so much him except his show just has no pizzazz. The worst part is his leftist All Stars with the exception of Charles Krauthamer, a true conservative and Fred Barnes a paleocon who is wimping out. (Probably from hanging with Mort Kondrake.)

The ad is definitely race baiting, making a conscious point to have a white woman flirt with Ford in the ad. Maybe Jesse Helms' ad man is behind this one, good for Corker for repudiating it. That said, it'll probably work, it's Tennessee.
