On tonight's SR, Mort Kondrake was asked to comment on the Tennessee satirical ad showing a buxom blond commenting about making Ford.
Kondrake said that showing a Black Man with a White Woman was racist.
My gawd, many Black men in sports and politics seem to have white companions. What am I disunderstanding?
I think the as is accurate and hard hitting (biting) satire.
Kondrake is an idiot. His comment is racist.

Actually I remember a lot of people complaining about that segment, although not neccessarily due to the interracial aspect. Still, there are a lot of people who dislike interracial relationship out there- look at the case recently with the parents who kidnapped and tried to force their daughter to have an abortion so that they wouldn't have a half-black grandchild. Whether this commercial intended to exploit that feeling among some people I don't know.

I think this is exactly why the Dems are whining about this ad. Ford also claimed to be a lawyer in one interview, and he's not. He did go to law school, but he never passed the bar, which is required before one actually becomes a lawyer.
Clintonian parsing of the truth isn't popular with a majority of Americans.

CBS made a BIG effort promoting Curic by showing her dancing with the black weatherman.
More or less trying to say "Katie lets blacks touch her, isn't she wonderful, kind and loving".
From a 30 sec commercial 5 secs were 2 dancing bits but only with a black.
I did. But not because she's white.
A better example would be the world-infamous "Wardrobe malfunction" at the Super Bowl halftime show. I don't remember anybody making a complaint that it was a black woman's breast that was bared.
Isn't Ford routinely spotted at DC watering holes with blonde babes on his arm ?
He dated sex columnist Julia Baugher ( white, brunette ) when she was a college sophomore and he was a 31 yr old Congressman.
Ford obviously likes beautiful white women .
The ad is a riot, not just because of the blonde, but, because of the way it describes Ford's political positions.
This is the funnest part - I mean who cares about positions and issues - let's hear more innuendo about candidate's sex lives.
I think they're flipping because it makes Ford look like anything but a serious candidate. What little "gravitas" he had flew right out the window with the airing of that ad.
Not only is Kondracke stupid, he can't even talk. He stutters and stammers so much that he now has Fred Barnes doing it. When those idiots are on TV, I change the channel out of sheer frustration of wanting a sentence completed without the stuttering.
If Ford took money from porn producers, he's a maggot.
That would be my description of NPR's Maria Liason on the same show....
