I think they're flipping because it makes Ford look like anything but a serious candidate. What little "gravitas" he had flew right out the window with the airing of that ad.
Yes. Between that and FancyFord.com, I have reevaluated him. Before this campaign season, I thought he a reasonable, serious Dem. Now, he looks like a horny frat boy.
