Being that this appeared in Time, which won't print anything without DNC permission, I have to wonder if it was the GOP who got the ball rolling here, or was instead the far left of her own party. For one thing, AIPAC is a pro-Israel group, and the MoveOn/Soros/Dean wing of the party are nothing but raving anti-Semites. Secondly, Nancy Pelosi and Harmon do not like one another, ann I'm sure that Pelosi has her own favorite hard leftist she'd rather see as Intelligence Committee Chairman if the Dims win.

Right now, my gut tells me this is a case of Nancy measuring the Speaker's office for new drapes - IOW, the Dims feeling that this one is in the bag so it's not going to hurt if the purge starts now. These idiots just never learn.

Another Clinton holdover?

I doubt that the President has any say over who Congresspeople choose to hire as their staffers.

Interesting question - it makes me think even more that the push against Harmon is coming from the left, not the right.

Interesting question - it makes me think even more that the push against Harmon is coming from the left, not the right.

Harmon WAS one of the better Rats, at least on National Security.

Early on in the left's attack on NSA's monitoring of terrorist calls into the US, Harmon publicly stated that the program had been a good and effective protection for all of us and that it didn't violate civil rights, etc. I think that's when her problems from the traitorous left started up.

She was obviously threatened by Pelosi (and probably IMO the groups Soros organized) and she could see how anyone in her party that didn't follow the Stalinist line got thrown under the bus.

Unfortunately, she caved rather than fight for what's right. She began to look like a marionette being worked by a puppeteer with 3 gallons of espresso in him. Jane was hopping and jerking all around and she started making the same public statements (contradicting earlier ones) that the moon-bats make.

That's bad enough, but it looks like she MAY have gone beyond the whacko public statements and into actual violations of law. Thus the attack from the right after the attack from the left.

She's earned being in the spot she's in IMO.

Ted Olson is a good lawyer and I bet you Ms. Harman is paying a pretty penny for his legal advice.

It isn't his "legal advice" she's paying for - - it's who he knows.

In the 2001-2002 election cycle, his Saban Capital group donated over 10 million dollars to the Democratic National Committee[2], the largest donation from a single source up to that time.

It appears so. I read that Dayton's wealth didn't increase fast enough. Maybe in the last ranking he was.

This will not get even a 10th of the attention the drive-by media gave to Foley's IMs if even that - the coverage of the Reid scandal is a case in point.

Sadly, I see little chance that the GOP will be able to properly exploit this scandal before election. On the other hand, Speaker in Waiting Pelousy may be able to turn this into a "no lose" situation for the 'Rats. If Harman goes to court, Nancy would be able to say, "I never wanted her in the first place". If Harman is exonerated, the 'Rats will say she was the victim of a vicious Republican smear.
