The Arab muslims who run Sudan are well on the way to wiping out the black muslims of Darfur.Russia clearly wants this to continue....most likely because they think there's $$$ to be made from the current government.

Russia,as well as China,is a nation without a conscience.

This can't be good. It seems pretty clear that some sort of international intervention may be required at some point there. Arming the muslim militias is a reckless and immoral course of action.

The more things change the more they........

Russia as China are playing the same game. They want to be the champion of the third world and tin pot regimes. There's money to be made in taking that position.

Furthermore, Russia still sees the US as it's adversary and rival, since after all our interests in the Caucasus, economic organization, etc. collide. So anything which weakens us in political, economic and security aspects is welcomed on their side.
