John Stuart Mill once famously called the British Tories "The Stupid Party." From time to time since then, the Tory's American cousin, the Republican Party, has also earned that moniker. Now may be one of those moments. If current polls and anecdotes are to be believed, there may be a million or two conservative Republicans who are planning to not vote this November.

Your graphics are hits. Going over quite well...lol.
They've been stupid before.
Mocking the "I'm so conservative, I NEVER vote conservative" stupidity bump
Ah gawrsh! blush Thank you, Onyx.
LOLOL! That's a GREAT line!
I always wondered, when was it that it wasn't too dangerous?
If you think that the Patriot Act will not be used against American citizens at some future date, you are gullible beyond belief.
None of that matters if you don't vote straight Republican.
First off, thank your son for his service, and thank you for your service. We are deeply indebted.
That said, it sounds pretty darn defensive (and possibly abusive) to tell someone to "F U" for simply saying that your comments revealed an "ACLU-like" complaint about the Patriot Act, and pointing out that the VAST majority of people who whine about wiretapping terrorists and tracking terrorist financing are people on the left. Just what is it about the (gasp!) dreaded Patriot Act (which had overwhelming bi-partisan support after 9-11, by the way) to which you object? What of YOUR civil liberties have been or will be curtailed?
And most importantly, how will putting the wacko left in charge do ANYTHING to improve matters of free speech (remember the Fairness Doctrine?), campaign financing (kiss your conservative internet freedoms goodbye), or illegal immigration (the left wants to bring them in AND pay them Social Security benefits)?
Too bad you descended into vulgarity to try to make your point.
OK, I took your comment the wrong way, and I apologize for that...I get kinda worked up when I get questioned about my patriotism because I'm against the Patriot Act. I'm against anything that was drafted and passed without it being read and discussed.
But let's put that all aside for now...it's been a long 12 hour shift.
Again, I apologize.
I know it sounds corny, but our kids are hero's...never let them forget it.
It doesn't sound corny at all. It is true. I hope on one of your son,s deployments he passed through the "people's republic" of Maine and I got a chance to shake his hand. Tell him thanks from the bottom of my heart.
They sure know how to make people come out, don't they? "Stupid", "Fool", etc. Great argument for going to the polls and encouraging more devastating behavior on the part of "our" side. I still haven't seen "Most important election of our lifetime" yet. The argument seems to be go for the short-term party benefits over the (worse) Democrats, and forget about the long-term for the country--and, not incidentally, liberty.
LOLOL!
:-D
Yes, how well I do.
I was repulsed by his gross spinelessness.
Remember the FBI files and Hillary? I think she has book on many of them, and they know it. Hillary ran the Justice Dept. during their co-presidency. They fear her releasing whatever she had on them or whatever she had that she could spin about them, in my opinion, and I think she still has those files.
Apology accepted. Hope your shift ends soon.
LOL!
Neat cartoon and thanks for the ping to the great article full of great examples and points. I added this thread to my Links page. :)
"1) When offered by a car dealer 25 percent off on a car, he insists on paying the full factory-recommended retail sticker price -- because he is damned if he will accept 25 percent when he deserves 30 percent off.
2) When the prettiest cheerleader asks the nerd to take her to the prom, he turns her down -- just because he can.
A conservative would have to be just that stupid to stay home on Nov. 7. I have heard it put around that the Republicans need a couple of years in the wilderness to regain their conservative bearings.
While turning over the Congress to the Pelosi/Kennedy mob for even two years would be recklessly irresponsible -- particularly during a dangerous war-- there is no assurance the wilderness years would last only 24 months. "

I really love this one! I'll repost it when appropriate. Hits the nail on the head. :)

Excellent. Another one right on the mark!
From bd476's post:
"Speciba!" = "Thank you" in Russian (don't ask me to write in in Cyrillic)
I seriously think republicans should be worried if the Dems take over and continue to make gains though 08 and it leads to a democratic victory in the White House.
